thanx, but there were cars that sounded much sexier, but mine was definitely louder than most.

needs moar heel toe and less body roll. It seemed\heard like you were off throttle in the apex of some of the turns, now it could have been the camera not picking up noise, but on the track Im either on the brakes or on the throttle (sometimes both on constant radius turns). Coasting or not being on either can end bad. Our mk2s like to get tail happy when going through corners when not on throttle. As soon as Im done braking Im back on the throttle.

im on the cheapest racelands, so im looking into something stiffer, but not expensive since this is a budget track car. i am good at hill toe downshifting, but the gas pedal is too small, so half the time i kept missing it. Any suggestions on how to increase the surface area of the throttle pedal? im sure someone sells a replacement. i was on throttle in every corner, you may not hear it, but i was. my car is set up to be tail happy (19mm front sway and 28 rear), so i wouldnt be able to go around corners if i want on throttle a little.
the whole point is to look stock and go fast.
also, since this was my first time at a track (any track period) i was learning, but check out the last 2 videos where im pushing the car harder through the corners and chasing cars down pretty easily. in video 6 the red eg hatch has a k20 swap and other mods as well.

I made some home made pedal overlays with some sheet aluminum I had laying around covered with grip tape and I love them. I just drilled two holes in each pedal and used a countersink bit and used flathead bolts and nylock nuts on the back.

    Brock that looks awesome.

When heel-toeing do you slide your foot sideways and actuate the throttle with the side of the foot or rotate you leg/foot and use the actual heel? With a stock pedal cluster I find it's really difficult to hit the throttle with my heel but I think this is due more to the brake pedal needing to be pressed to far to move the heel back to the throttle. Hopefully an entirely new brake system will solve this issue. If not I may have to bend/adjust/replace my pedal cluster.

OP: those are great vids and the course looks really fun. In one of those photos is the black golf of course or is that just a visual trick due to elevation change?

the black mk2 spun and hit a haystack that was it for the 1.8t k04ed mk2
heel-toe downshift is named heel toe for a reason. you supposed to use the heel of right foot to blip the throttle while the toes are pressing the brake.

Actually it's origin stems from when the pedals were reversed left->right and you would swing the heel of the right foot to the left. This is a much more natural position/motion than trying to turn your foot inwards.

Nowadays either technique can work depending on foot/shoe size and pedal layout.

When I heel toe I actually use the left side of my foot and the right side since the pedal layout makes it a bit difficult to get my heel over.
