Designed by a joint engineering staff from Germany and the USA, the S1 coilover is built for the enthusiast
that is looking for an ideal balance of ride quality and performance.

In the front the S1 coilover for the MK2, MK3 VW/Audi Group platform features 400 lb/inch
spring rate matched to a twin tube low pressure gas damper mounted in a
heavy gold zinc plated threaded coilover housing that provides not only
great handling, but also exceptional corrosion resistance.

The rear features a 285 lb/inch coil spring & helper spring matched with a
specially tuned sport damper mounted inside the rear version of the
high quality heavy gold zinc plated threaded coilover housing.

Quality and performance wise, I would say they are not going to compare with Koni or H&R. I would say B&G would slot inbetween these and the Koni's/H&R's. These are designed to give you a decent drop and a comfortable ride on a budget. Their quality is on par with anything in their price range (such as FK AK Streetlines) and they have a good warranty as well for their price point.

i would like to know how they handle on turns, or are they just for show cars so you can slam your ride, are they even worth it or should i just save up and get some koni's or bilsteins

If your looking for a high performance setup for track or auto-x, I'd recommend going with Koni's or Bilsteins (Koni's are going to be the best value, and we have them on sale here: http://forums.vwvortex.com/showthrea...-by-WRDUSA.com but we can also get you Bilsteins if you decide to go that route)

These are designed to give you a nice drop with a good ride for a great value. I would not consider them a high performance coilover.

No problem, unfortunately that wasn't through us. I do remember seeing them posting something about that when they first released the coils, however I haven't seen anything about it lately.

I am considering them as replacement of the stock struts and shocks on my 2000 VW New Beetle GLX 1.8 I am not going to autocross or anything like that. And I am not looking for any big drop either. Just want a decent ride and a bit better cornering ability than the stock struts.
Will these coilovers be pretty decent in every day driving or will I be better off with some Monroe Quick Struts?

These are designed for daily driving, so they would be just fine for your purposes.
