So in September I picked up a 2012 Candy White Highline(Canada) TDI, and for a while I thought that I will resist and keep it stock. What was I thinking
This is my second VW. My first car was a 2000 MKIV VR6. I did not have much money back than, so therefore the only thing I did to it is a BORA badge)
After the VR6 I wanted something with little more ponies, and I picked up my friend's E39 540I.
As I had enough power, the only thing I did to it, is cosmetics. I got the M bumpers, exhaust, 19" rims, and I did a full vinyl matte black wrap.
I loved the car and I would never sell it, however the age (it was almost 14 years old when I sold it) and V8's love for premium had me looking into more economical side. So that's the reason I picked up a TDI, otherwise I would go with GLI.
So this is my GRAND PLAN
ECU flash from Unitronic
VW Kit - installed from the dealer
H&R Sport Spring - waiting out for shiny days
18" Rims (Black) - install with springs
Paint OEM Rims black for winter mode
Full vinyl Matte Orange wrap from ReStyleIt.ca
Regarding the wrap - my first experience with the vinyl was with the Bimmer, the same guys did it, and I was pleased with their work. I had the wrap on the Bimmer for almost two years, and never had a problem with it.
After I got the Jetta, the first thing they did was tint the back and front lights, black roof and CF spoiler.
After a while I decided to go with full wrap and Orange and Black theme.
So Andrew (from ReStyleIt.ca) is going to de-chrome the whole car. Black out the chrome on windows, upper and lower grill, front and back badges.
I think it's going to turn out GOOOD. I will try to update with lots of pics.
So here it goes...
