The only problem I have with BBSs is that the design is too “round and soft” whereas the Jetta has very sharp and straight lines. That’s why Option #2 looks like it came from the factory with those wheels, IMO. The rs6’s also have some curve design, but not as much……..uuuuum, choices choices

See, I view the BBS as the conservatively sporty choice. Options #1 and #2 look like OEM+ options. I am guessing the round-and-soft you speak of is the concave nature of the wheel? I agree the car is more angular in design but it would be a nice counter balance to have a less angular wheel. IMO obviously.

I was also thinking the same (offsetting the sharp edges by curved wheels)
In the end, for me, the overall look has to “flow”, and the details have to compliment each other.

I thought about getting #3 in a different colour myself, but decided against it.

Man, I'm so lost now they all look good in their own way!
But in the end I think it's going to be between Option#1 and Option#2.
.....I should find some local Vdubbers who are looking for the same wheels so we all can buy different ones and than exchange them on monthly bases!

Thanks! Ye, I also agree that the fatter spokes in Option 4 will look better in 19s.

So I'm making a left turn and start going on the street when all of the sudden I see blue and red lights racing behind me The cop pulls me over and comes to my window:
Cop: Do you know why i stopped you?
Me: I have a slight idea...
Cop: Your plates are not Ministry approved.
Me: (in my mind: it's about time, I had them on since Septeber!)
Cop: They are nice, where did you get them?
Me: Internet...
Cop: Oh ye, how much?
....So we start chatting up, and i find out that the the cop is German, and he moved to Canada in '97. Then he told me that he did his first ever driving test on a TDI Golf, back in the day in Germany
And then the best...
Cop: Love what you've done with the car, looks very good!

(In the end he told me not to pay for the ticket, but take a picture of the proper plate on the car and bring it to the court and they will withdraw the ticket)

I have these Wheels similar to what you are looking at, and well priced.



Keep in mind mine are 16s, they would look even better in 18, I saw them at Kal Tire, they were $175 each there.

Ye, he was very cool about it. Usually they confiscate the plate, or at least make you take it off and put the proper one! And he just told me to bring a picture: to the court

He probably just wanted to check out the car!

The multi-spoke look is nice. I think Option #3 is out of the question, they are very nice wheels, but they just don't give the care the same look as the other 3 options.
