i tossed together a highlight reel of my day, nothing spectacular. got a couple new views and got a little excitement off the burnout box, too! it was fun. it didnt break. car is alive and drove into the trailer. and i even won the $$$$ for fastest watercooled car out there. was the fastest overall, too, @ 153.5 mph.

i put the ceramic bronze discs back in, and my short track suffered huge from clutch slip. this much higher power did not even attempt to play nice this time. every 60' was 1.8x.... to my best 1.40 and usually 1.5's. this made my best ET yesterday 10.14 and 10.15.

BUT my traps remained in the 152-153 range, so that was good there, a sure sign its making more power now that it is sealed up a little better.

had a good time, and a good way to retire the car for the winter at a great show put on by great people in front of a huge crowd of VW/Audi nuts!!!

next year, be prepared for some major changes.

and a trial run of no-lift shifting. shift cut set @ 9k rpm and .200sec. the clutch discs, they did not appreciate this maneuver at ALL! so, i need to toss the sintered iron discs back in and try it again. but i doubt i will find the motivation to do so before years' end here.

Thanks, I actually have the boost turned way down in 1st (9psi). running about 15psi in 2nd and 3rd, and 19-20 in 4th. I'm consistently seeing 1.7 and 1.8 60ft's so I opted not to up the boost any more in first in risk of breaking an axle. It was freezing there this past weekend so I had no interest in swapping axles in the cold.

The Coupe is mine and yes it dances a lot, we think the width of the wheel is the problem 8.5" we will try 10" width wheel soon.

So close!!!! I was able to launch the car at 6,000 rpms, but 2nd gaer, the car wasn't finding any traction. Not badfor a stock DSG tranny with an open diff
