mk4 o2j 1.8t clutch is bad i believe?

so i was driving it today and at a stop i tried putting it into 1st and it wouldn't go in all it would do is grind, i had my car towed home. You can move into gears when the car is off but when its on it starts to grind once you try and force it into a gear and if you turn it on in any gear it still grinds .. i need help please :/ I'm thinking it might be the whole clutch or maybe the clutch master cylinder or the slave its a awp 2003 1.8t and asp 02j tranny

im having the same issue. from what ive experienced i forced it into 1st and 2nds and 3rd clutch doesn't seem to slip drives fine. ( i was a block and a half away from home ) the pedal seems to be fine as well its not stuck to the floor and has pressure. im assuming its the throw out bearing or pressure plate failure. either way im looking to get a complete clutch kit now.

i just pulled out my clutch today kinda hard but yea it was indeed my clutch
