I bought this gti ^ from the member "reflections " When i bought it it had 7,000 miles , it currently has 9,500 original miles, I am getting old (39 years old) and i need a change in my life, im going to greece in the summer , im asking $12,500 for the car

the good , no accidents , no paint work, smells new, runs new , extremley low miles car has been garaged most of its life

the bad, antenna is broke, radio works but all static, had the car checked out by vw of lowell ma, they said the car is in awsome shape, but the aftermarket springs and shocks have some wear on them and should be replaced, also there is some oil sippage in the oil pan, but this is normal for a car that was build it 1995 and has been sitting and not driven that much

yeah dude, to be honest, i know you were looking for a minty mk3 gti for awhile...probably wont find one with lower miles anywhere...id ship her with you...people on this forum are unwilling to pay more than 4k for a mk3 gti

putting it on autotrader would yeild more adult buyers, less time wasters imo.
either way this is a niche car, its a one of a kind, due to condition and mileage, not production numbers...i actually think its priced on the low side, for what it is...you wont find another in this mileage bracket

why do you say its laughable...it is a rare find, and look at all the forum members looking for mk3 gti's at the moment...half of the parts to restore one of these properly are no longer available,and everyone knows factory paint jobs are far superior to aftermarket ones....

hell half of vortex is looking for that "mint, clean mk3"...here it is, if it wasnt black, it would be in my garage already....bump op...

Yea i would love to take it with me but athens greece is way to overpopulated, as far as the price what can you buy for 12 grand now a days? not much

A brand new car like a toyota yaris is 16 grand, i would rather drive this gti over a new cheap car , like a yaris or a nissan versa etc

i bought a new candy white gti in may 1998...fully loaded, blk leather, etc...to you as well for buying a new one as well.why on god's green earth did you sell the mulberry

people on the forums are a joke...they will try to run down nice things, just cause they dont have them...example is my build page, there are a few clowns, who i believe are jealous of my mk3 gti, and run it, and me down, just cause they dont have the means to do the same thing...i was looking at nissan gtr's, used audi r8's,and i decided i would enjoy my mk3 more, once i restore it to perfect condition, with a oem plus build...krust eyed douchebag is one of those characters, who wishes he could have a mint mk3 gti vr6, and is mad at me cause i have what he wants...you probably own the lowest mileage mk3 gti left in north america, and there are a few of us out there who value a car reguardless of what kbb states...after the mk3, the vw lineup just lost that character of the old school watercooled vw's...if you love them as much as i do, i would keep her, cause you will never find another like it...

I couldnt agree more with ZACHER. People on the tex will not give you 12,500 even though the condition and the mileage is great. I suggest keeping the car also because you will not find any mk3 with that type of low mileage anywhere. There are probably a handful still readily available. Honestly and to be really honest. If I had cash to blow I would have picked up this car before thinking about picking up a 2012 Honda.
