What you are showing might be a custom job, but if I found a W300 for sale I would buy it no questions asked and I would put many people in shallow graves to get a clean 4x4 W300.

I am pretty sure the fuel economy of the W300 wasn't bad, they had little 4 cyl detroit diesels in them. Think of it as a 70's F-350 with a diesel.

We have a T470 parked out in the truck line that's 4x4 with a FEPTO attachment in the front bumper. Right now it has an aluminum flat bed with tool boxes on the back but every time I walk by that truck I dream of building it out like an RV and using it for an adventure camper.

I've chuckled with my colleagues about the NaviCat, it's funny that the company that pulled out of the on-highway engine market has started to build an on-highway chassis with another engine in it. I understand that Navistar has licensed/bought/shares some of the Cat engine technology but on the surface it still seems ironic. And who was on the marketing team that came up with CT660? What's next the CT680, CT700, and CT800? It's a neat looking truck and it will be interesting to see how drivers like them. I've had a chance to climb around one, sit inside, pop the hood, etc.

I guess the best way to get into the on-highway chassis market is to steal/piggy-back on the marketing of others. I lost repect for CAT when they did that and I use to really like their products - not so much the CT660 though - looks like the design engineers went home early and were drinking on the job.

T-470 is cool, but there is just something really cool about an OEM class 3 truck that is made by a heavy duty truck manufacturer.
