Just got my GLi a few months ago i'm looking to keep it mostly stock
Unfortunatly the previous owner didnt treat it well so im trying to bring this GLi where its suppose to be Hopefully You guys can help and recomend some things thanks
    Things i have done already
    -Timing belt/water pump
    -Roof Racks
    -Nuespeed short shifter
    -HIDS lights
    -Injen Intake
Things i want to do to it
    1. Get the front lip valance
    2. Drilled rotors
    3. Blowoff valve
    4. Passenger side mirror in Blue Lagoon
    5. Sway bars
    6. Aristos rims (Keeping the RCs just switch them around every once in a while)
    7. Im still thinking about another exhaust or just keeping the OEM
so those are about it, if you have any of those things let me know or any suggestions or recommendations just me know what you think thanks

    Welcome

I'd get: front valance, coilovers, and spacers.
Instead of a blow off valve, buy a diverter valve since our engines are made to use DV instead of BOV.

lol you beat me to the punch!! Yes, absolutely get a DV and not a BOV. If you buy some sort of cold-air intake, your DV will honestly sound just like a BOV anyway so you don't need one. My Hyperboost HX DV is as loud as any BOV I've ever heard.

Are you using your stock TIP with your DV? I used to be able to hear my R1 DV but after i upgraded to the APR TIP Im not able to hear it anymore. Maybe cuz of the silicone which is thicker makes it impossible for any chirps to come out....

I'd recommend going with a diverter valve rather than a blow-off valve.

    nice GLI!

start with the front valance, it makes all the difference in the world, takes it from a regular old jetta to a GLI. lol

    I have this BOV.

    http://www.ecstuning.com/Volkswagen-...BOV/ES1832064/

it is a hybrid, it recirculates as well as releases to the atmosphere. it sounds badass and does the job a DV does so you wont trip CELs.

good luck with the build process! =)

and unless have big turbo plans, stick to a diverter valve. these engines are designed with them, so stick to it, or else youll run lean in vacuum, and get CEL's.

but were you getting unsteady rpm or jumpy rpms at red light, stop or just idle??
How hard, or was it difficult the timing belt?

    Forget the neuspeed Ss
When your ready get a Forge front/back & side/side short shift kit.
