Comparing that to the spyshot on the prior page with regular non-projector lights I'd say you are looking at a non-US version. We get the 5-door hatch and sedan.

I say it every chance I get, but the Fiesta will never be a consideration for me unless we see the 3-door in North America. The 3-door Fiesta ST would be exactly what I'm looking for.

I don't see why it's a deal breaker if the rest of the car is exactly what you're looking for. At some point, you've got to compromise.

I wish they would put this out faster, I like the Fiesta but something in the design of the headlights doesn’t work for me, seems like this will address it.

Last we heard from Ford, the official word was that the Detroit-based automaker "remains open" to selling the Fiesta ST in the U.S.

The ST was officially shown at this year's Geneva Motor Show equipped with a 1.6-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder producing 178 horsepower and 177 pound-feet of torque. The car was also sporting slick Recaro seats which are in place on this test car. A number of sport-tuned cars (think Golf R) have fun seats in Europe but replace them here with seats that are wider and pass our crash tests. The fact that Ford is testing the seats here is simply a cause of them having the seats in stock, not that we'll get them.

The US-spec headlights, however-- note the lack of LEDs-- indicate that Ford is working to comply with our regulations. this is the best "hint" that this one is for real for US.

Beyond the ST stuff, we've also got some shots of the new interior treatment set for the Fiesta which includes simplified buttonry and a touchscreen interface.

That "revised" interface looks awful. Looks like they had no idea what to do with the empty space the old buttons took, so they said "f--- it".

You want a Fiesta hatchback auto with just a radio? It starts at 17510$. Not even a Focus.

For the same price you can get a COMPACT automatic instead of a SUB-COMPACT. A Civic DX auto is the same price. The Fit has about the same problem.

I disagree, the current interface of the base Focus/Fiesta system is one of the most maddeningly sh:tty in the industry, and I hate it. I think this is a lot better. The display and graphics in the current car are atrocious as well, you'd think in a basic subcompact car they could at least make a legible, easy-to-read display.

Then you have..one choice, the Mini. Form whatever criteria you want, but either you limit yourself to a tiny slice of an already tiny niche and leave yourself no choices, or you compromise on one thing and allow yourself more choice. Why over-criteria yourself out of great cars for no reason.

I hate B-segment sedans with a friggin' passion. The Fiesta is a good-looking hatch, but it resembles a pregnant, dead guppy floating belly-up when it's sedanized.

I agree that this is a ridiculous argument. If I'm spending money on any car, it's my decision as to whether the car is worth that amount. And I'll admit to getting hung up on door count as well (although to the opposite end - I'd always prefer a 5-door car in this style).

Now, I'm no materials or manufacturing engineer, but can anyone tell me, considering they're molding different plastic pieces for the steering column for key and keyless start anyway, why the keyless start version still has the depression for the keyhole?



I've seen this on other cars too. It's at least understandable if there was just a plastic filler plug, but they've molded a whole new part but left the circle there anyway.
