Hey all! My name is Chris and am glad to finally be posting in this regional forum as I now can consider Germany home for the next 2+ years
I am an engineer for Siemens and got transferred here to Nürberg on an open-end contract and loving every day of it in beautiful bavaria! Great beer and beautiful women!
I owned a 2000 VW GTI 1.8T before I left and had it looking pretting good and running pretty fast but then sold it knowing I'd probably find something better here
I really want to make it out to Wothersee since it is every dubbers dream to make it out there and now I will finally be here during that time of year!
The only problem I have is that I don't have a dub yet and don't think I'll have one by then either.
Is there anyone that would be willing to take me along in the b*tch seat? I'll totally pitch in for gas and will be bringing my DSLR along for some wicked pictures.
I truly miss the Leavenworth and Camp18 runs from the PNW euro scene/community back home and it would be nice to get that sense back of traveling in a Wolf-sberg Pack
Have any of you been out there before?
What are you all doing about accomodations?

I don't care what I roll in, I am just stoked in a ride to Wörthersee! I'm sure it will be a pretty awesome event! As for the stay, that would be great to find out if there are any more spots available, I'd pay that price.

Not sure, everthing is getting booked pretty quick. You may want to see what you can find through this here internet machine. We have some local German friends that did all of our reservations for us. Good luck.

are most of you guys gonna be rolling together down there? If so when do you plan on leaving as I would rather do that and just roll with everyone. Girl wants to camp so Ill squash two things at once and go camp. Then her and the little man can come to the show but can also do stuff at the lake and what not. As of right now it looks like we will be driving out on the night of the 9th, probably around 10pm and arriving there around 7am on the 10th. I don't know why we are doing this, these are the plans that were in place when we were all invited to go along. Once we get a little closer I am sure more details will arise, and I will do my best to keep you informed. I don't know about the lake or camping, this is my first and probably last time to go. Maybe someone else can chime and help the man out........I am ready for May to get here!!!!

the 9th? isnt that like 6 days before the actual show? now I am confused haha. Yea I found a camp site on the lake bout 8km away that we will prolly stay at. They wanna camp so whatever lol. This is my first time going as well so I am a bit lost on the whole process.

Yeah, we are going before the "actual show". The guys we are rolling with said the week before is actually the better week to go. From what I gather through broken translations, is that the week before is when all the "home grown" cars will be there. The following week is when the VAG brings out all the new ****. So it's up to you when you want to go.

The cars that will be there will be home grown, garage built machines. There should also be some back roads racing going on, so be sure to wear your sticky tires!!! We leave the day before the "crappy" part of the show starts as my buddy put it. Hope that answers some questions!
