Anyone have pics of the Anthracite Goal wheels on a Tornado Red Jetta? A dealer I'm talking to back in the states has a TDI I'm interested in buying but it has the above mentioned setup and I'm uncertain what it will look like. I've only been able to find some poor quality shots on a JSW and a mkIV Golf.
Anyone think it will not look good? How about with the chrome trim (its a TDI/premium and nav).
Thanks!

I asked for a side shot, but this is what the dealer sent me. I'm digging' them. I thought I would like the silver better but anthracite looks good!

I wouldn't say shelby...he's informed me that they're part of a demo car and they seem skiddish about pulling them off that car. Their reason is that it's part of a factory package. Since I haven't seen a package that incorporates those wheels I don't think they're being up front. So I'm guessing it's because they're trying to keep options open to push a sale. They told me they're $2300 including tires and install through their parts department.
But I'm seeing the 17's for sale online for as low as $175. So I'm not sure how it approaches their asking price without a huge mark up. It'd make sense that they just flat out refuse to sell them in hopes of pushing direct sales through their parts department.

Those are 18" goal anthracite wheels. They are in the SportWagen accessory brochure. I believe they're 18"x7.5 and I'm not sure what the tire size would be. Hope that helps? I'm hoping to put them on my black TDI Premium!![]()

Anthracite goals are only in 17 x 7.5 inches. Those on the pic look exactly like the set I got for $175 each with shipping included. It's possible you can get them even cheaper thru Keffer VW parts. There are reps on the forum I believe.
18 x 8 goals only come in light silver. If you want the part numbers let me know.

I don't have a part number but I'm going to to try and grab it. The quote from dealer is ~$1600 for the tires and rims installed. Sounds about right since I found the wheels for ~$225 shipped.
I'm between these 18" goals and these http://www.velocitymotoring.com/wheels_v710.html
What's really nice about those Goals is that they're 7.5" wide and from what I've read are ~20lbs. So gas mileage shouldn't change much and I'm not forced to pay the price of a forged rim

I like the v710. Have you checked out tsw nurburgrings? They are similar in style to the vmr but supposedly stronger and lighter. 18 inch wheel at about 18 -19 lbs. Nearly bought them in matte bronze before I chose the goals.
I am not sure about VW goal weights in terms of accuracy online. When I weighed mine which are 17 inches my scale said approximately 22 lbs. worse yet for 18s. Maybe my scale is off but I haven't seen other picks of them on a scale showing 20 lbs.

I was hoping for a swap and perhaps pay the difference in pricing however they swear it's specific to itemized invoice for the Red Jetta and they'll only sell "in addition" to my sale at this point.
Thanks for the scale shots. That's definitely something to consider :/
Anybody else like the red/anthracite combo? I like black/anthracite myself :>

Imho, I think the anthracite goals make any mk6 jetta look sharp... Just pick your color combo and go with... my mk5 jetta was reflex silver, and was considering silver again, but the wifey said white, I just picked the wheels...I decided to with 17, as it doesn't deteriorate the ride as much as the 18s... but if 18s are ur thing... go for it...
