Cars are just a means to bring people together for a good time. Personally, socializing and talking shop with everyone in addition to looking at all the cars and taking pictures is what makes this so enjoyable for me. I encourage people to come up to me and ask me to check out their car or something. Heck, even if you have been hearing a weird noise I'm sure people would be happy to check it out and suggest what may be the culprit.

Judging by the pictures.. it looks like the quantity of cars went up but quality went down on the second meet..

I'll give this some time to marinate and also wait for the weather to get better before swooping by to do some coverage..

Good job on the location choice though.

And who ever the heck that was on a frontier pickup needs to chill out on burning rubber on the lots. plus it was wet lmao. we could get kicked out for that.

I'd be hesitant to go, based on the cars in photos presented. Not a hater by any means. I'm a a car enthusiast, I just happen to be a VW fan boy. I went to a Subaru meet with a friend once and almost everyone decided to share their opinion of my car and the make itself, even though I was there to check out some badass cars. It does look like a cool meet, so I will have to make a decision.

I'm also doing my best to take pictures of each car that shows up and posting them up on the Flickr page.

This is a meet for EVERYONE.

I do want to see more VW/Audi cars show up along with every make and model so feel free to call your local friends and have them come out with you.

Let me know if you have any questions.

kyle? i know you mentioned tis so i figured it was you

a week ago i went to the tigard location with a few friends. the cars were more on the "exotic" side of things. this one looks like more practical DD's but i did enjoy the cars at tigard. if i didnt live in salem id come to this one but thats a far cry from i5.

this is a great idea btw. i have to admit when i went i had the lowest value car in the lot. didnt care tho. people were asking me about it and i was talking back. everyone was really chill.
My DD: B5 turbo, test pipe, full 2 1/2" exhaust with borla muffler, koni str.t with lowering spring, falken rubber. hps t.i.p. k&n intake, Dual Piston BOV

It depends on the weather and peoples schedules. I'm positive this will pick up in a big way when it starts getting warmer.

Yeah, I have no idea who had the Frontier. I got there before 8am and it was already there.

The diversity of car types will really start picking up and if you like modified cars of all types then this is the place to be.

I've been happy to see people getting along and meeting new people.

Are you kidding me? I drove from Tacoma, Washington on 4 FEB for that one. Not to dog on you man, but thats an excuse if I have ever heard one.

Salem to PDX: 60.6 miles, estimated time 60+(ish) minutes
Where I live to PDX: 118 miles, estimated time 2+ hours

      You do the math!

Anyways, looks like an entirely different group of cars this time as compared to the 4th.

Good question and I have several answers for you...

      1. It was a nice day
      2. I love and am not scared to drive my car any distance
      3. I enjoy meeting people outside the VW/Audi scene
      4. My brother lives in Portland and that gave me an opportunity to see him

      Any more questions?

No doubt there will be other opportunities to come down to PDX and visit with like minded car enthusiasts!

Wait, there was a Corrado there? I did not see that in the pics. I might cruise when I have the day off if there is another Corrado.

This Saturday we will do the normal Cascade Cars and Coffee Portland and then afterwards caravan over the river to the Rally Day Event at Allan Webb Mitsubishi and Dick Hannah Subaru where one of our regular attendees the English Racing / AMR / Pregrid Motorsports Evolution 8.75 Rally Car will be on display along with a rally driving simulator. Should be another good Saturday at cars and coffee!
