What about us poor bastards that get to stare at your "stockroom" knowing that our wait is waaaaay longer than 5 weeks (probably never)?!?!

you're going to love the Dieselgeek shifter. when you go back to a stock shifter it feels sloppy like a stick in vaseline.

t's just true. i have accidentally shifted from 3rd to 2nd while trying to go to 4th twice since getting my R. the shifter feel is just to sloppy for me after driving my MKV GTI with the dieselgeek shifter for almost 6 years.

I believe you on that one.

I am anticipating "Mod-Days" which all starts next week when the car goes in and loses its engine for 1.5 weeks.

Got a quick shot today up in the Lodi Wine Country under some menacing skies.

Probably the only time these two will ever be in the same pic together. The TTS goes back to stock early next week and then off to Autotrader she goes....

I am having dangerous thoughts.... Thoughts of taking the HRE c93s from my TTS (that are about to be retrofitted to Golf .:R spec's down at HRE) and selling them to get some of these Vintage series 505's.

My buddy Mr. Fernando pchopped these onto a 2-door but at least it gives us an idea? Yay? Nay?

Thanks for the feedback. I really only like two wheels out there right now, these HRE Vintage 505's and the HRE Comp series C93s which are ultra lightweight with titanium fasteners, which dramatically aid in dealing with unsprung mass. This car will be between 500 and 600awhp so lightweight and strong wheels are a must. But those 505s are super-sick!

Heres my C93s when they were on the TTS. Whatever goes on the .:R will have gloss black barrels and flat black face in 19x9.5 with a staggered 1.5" front lip and a 2.5" rear lip. I tend to go with the "performance stance" as much as I love the bagged and dunked look just because of the power and how I want to use the hell out of this lil' breezy!

Those retros do look sweet but I think the soon-to-be painted C93s will look equally solid on your R. I think another pchopped image with the C93s is needed to be fair and unbiased.

Thanks TEFF, I am working with one of the HRE engineers to make sure that they not only have a perfect offset, but that they can deal with what I am about to throw at it power wise

Sometimes I just stop and stare, and sometimes I just stare and snap pics.

This Dieselgeek Sigma 6 s/s is beautifully done.

Bravo to them for keeping quality top shelf. Can't wait to install it.

Indeed, when I got my kit I was like "Wow it really looks amazin, and pictures don't do justice"

I wonder how the shifting will improve with this setup.

    Let us know Jason.....

Could not agree with you more TEFF. Right now it's currently residing in fishbowl shaped flower vase on the dining room table. The wife isn't exactly impressed, but she's going along with it.

Pete, It should be going on next week. Problem is the Dieselgeek Sigma 6 will be in the .:R, but the engine will not.

So in an effort to achieve the power numbers that I am after with this build, I am selling the APR Stage3 set up out of my TTS. I was going to use it in the .:R, but APR doesn't have a map yet that will support methanol injection, and that is a big part of this new build up. So I am exploring other ideas and someone is about to come up hard on a good deal for the legendary APR Stage 3 kit which on our Golfs should produce a staggering 407hp at the crank!

Here is a pic of the EVOMs intake with engine cover and heat-shield. I was going to leave it boxed up until it goes on the car next week, but like a kid on xmas morning I couldn't resist! I had the EVOMs on my last car and loved it. Mellow sound until you go WOT and it has some grunt to it even before you go with a new exhaust. Two thumbs up on this one
