honestly, the bmw probably has more room than an xB. and i fit my 4 kids in my mk3 jetta just fine, & your bmw has even more room than a jetta, so this whole "i want to trade my nice bmw for an underpowered, hideous, poorly built piece of s**t tin can on wheels" argument is invalid. keep the bmw.

Lol my wife has an XB and it has WAY more room inside. I actually like the looks of them as well. I would take an XB over another mk3 anyday.

i would rather take a kick in the teeth than an xB i've driven a few, & i hate them. and i'm one that loves most japanese cars, too. i have seen a couple that look decent, but i would never own one. just my $0.02

that said, they're probably way more reliable and cheaper to fix than a bmw...

that doesn't count, you could put rs' on anything and make it look good. parts of that look ok to me, but i HATE that front end and window visors

It does count because I already have white 16" rs'. And I agree as well on aa few things. It was just an overall example of what I have in mind.

    Much better example though:

So you want another XB so that you can have matching ones?

Thats like me getting another mk4. Sure I could and I had suspension, wheels etc all lined up for one. But, no. I am done with mk4's.

I personally like the Element better than the XB. I'd rather have a bottom of the line used Tig anyday.

GLWS.
Lol no, I want the first gen. Megans is the second gen. I like the room, mpg, and looks better than an element.

personally, if i'm going the "mini suv" route, i'd go with a cr-v, they're reliable as hell, awd, good mileage, and you can find them super cheap. they share a lot of mechanicals with civics & integras, so there's tons of parts available for them. i would love a tiguan, but they're hard to find use3d and spendy when you do. i've just never liked the xB's, and i've driven a few of them. the pic of one as a toaster is eerily accurate

Lol you twisted my words. I said "I like the looks better than an element"

Also this isnt a discussion thread about what everyone thinks of an XB, I like them and am willing to trade for one.

oh yes it is, this is now a "bash allen for wanting an xB" thread because i said so

and if you'll notice, i was the one looking for and posting pics of dope xB's too, so i'm really just giving you a hard time out of fun i wouldn't own one, but that doesn't mean i don't appreciate a nice looking one

I actually love XBs, but man, just keep the car. We all get into this "gotta get a family car" funk when we have a baby on the way. Also, I know your car is super clean, but seems like you're asking a bit high considering that M3s have fallen into that price range.

Don't worry about the RWD. My sister in law drove a 3 series all through college (in LOGAN) and never had issues. Just get some good snow tires and throw a bag of salt in the trunk and you'll never know the difference.

That said, do what you want. I can't keep a car longer than a couple months either.

The price is actually fair based off of my research of cars in the area. Most e36 M3's are going for 6k-10k. 5500 obo is a good starting point though. RWD is also just one concern. Fuel economy and interior space are the others. Even driving like a granny, I am lucky to get 28 MPG.

I will most likely be keeping this a little longer though until the MK4 gets paint at least.

Yeah m3s are so hit or miss. My brother had a pretty clean 95 that he brought from Cali, and he only got 4800 for it, and a guy on my street bought an IMMACULATE one for 4k, but then you see them go for 10k on ebay all the time.
