Okay, I finally have an update! The yellow main bearings were packaged together in bags by VWso they were all dinged up when they arrived at NGP. The replacements were shipped in separate boxes and received on Thursday so the engine reassembly has finally started.
For the life of me I cannot understand why VW would ships main bearings in a bag and not a box. Absolutely ****ing retarded.
When I stopped off there yesterday on the way home from work, NGP had had the crank, rods and pistons installed and were bolting down the head.
If all goes well, she'll be ready to go next week.

Wow... from an OE no doubt.
I work in an engine plant, and the attention given to bearings (both main and conrod) are insane due to the tolerances that are measured in microns in today's modern engines.
The service parts side is equally attentive to packaging.
Crazy anxious to see your results!

But the reality is all the parts that caused a delay we're unplanned last minute decisions. They all had to be ordered when I dropped off the car. It would have been much quicker if I already had them in-hand.

I hear ya. It's all good. Hopefully will be that much better in the end result. !!

Okay, we are in full swing and should be wrapped up this week. New turbo, injectors and intake manifold are in. Motor should be back in the bay after tomorrow. Sorry I didn't get a pic of the turbo side.

You guys are funny. My local dyno is a dynojet. Same as the 3 numbers I put down last summer. HPWorks in Colonial Beach, VA. This time, there is no kick-down so the operator can't f up the runs like before.
Took this on my way into DC this morning. Software by Friday..maybe pickup...we'll see.
Figured I'd freshen up the dsg fluid and get an alignment after the WALK install I did before I dropped it off at NGP.
The DP is peeking out if you look close enough. Almost done! Can't wait to get my car back.

Will the dyno shop let you run the car if they can't work the dsg correctly?
