Getting close to the 60 day countdown! I guess I gotta look into getting those wheels refinished. Engine will not be in before Cincy. But I'm feeling fine about that. Having a blast playing with the new house!

I have to get wheels refinished, suspension purchased and installed, dash swapped back to the correct one, headlights relayed, etc.
    Deal with it.

I am still not sure which one I will be driving. I think it is technically Klausie's turn, since her silverness was there last weekend and purple went to the main event last year. But I could bring any of them...suggestions?

A german folding rule will also do well.
Oh the clearance is fine. What is not fine is the length of one of the rods. It is all heim joints. I can adjust a normal one. This one is much more of a pain due to the level of disassembly required to adjust it. And I use a cassette tape case for the space....how old skool is that? THAT is not the problem with mine. Though I have no doubt that Fredy and many others could sort mine out. It is a Scott Rose solid one, who remembers those?

If I recall, this is the only thing on the June calendar. You signed a deal for this when you got the car, remember?

I'll be getting back from a week in Munich, followed by a week in Dublin a few days before Cincy. Is that going to be a problem?

Not at all, but by the sound of things you'll need the few days before Cincy to sober up.
    Deal with it.

I'm jealous. Looks like we have to wait until next year to do this again.

    So, drive a Kia.

Would we love to see the 'rocco? Of course! But, it's not just about the cars, you know.

    "Kia" = "non-Scirocco vehicle."

Oh, and: t-minus 63 days now.
(62, if you consider it as starting on Friday. We're counting down to Saturday, right? Just to be clear?)

Cincy starts on Friday, so we count down to Friday. See, we are now a day closer.
Chris, you've been to Munich before, haven't you? If not and want to know any great places to see, just ask.
Looked at my "to-do" list on the Slegato and compared to the one I made for the, what I thought was ready to go 16V, and it looks like we will be bringing the Slegato to Cincy-almost for sure.

His Scirocco is his only car.

Yep, I was there a few years back. Actually, I was in Munich when the yellow car was dropped off in Toronto by the delivery truck, after the "incident". Unfortunately I won't have too much time in Munich on my own. Other than the Sunday when I arrive, I'll be in the office most of the time.

Not that I'm complaining or nothin'.

Why hasn't anybody posted to this thread for a few days

I'm really excited about taking a Scirocco to Cincy now

the above photo is from a local Euro car show, I went to yesterday in the rain

I won a Best of Show award in the Corrado/Scirocco category, beating out 3 other Corrado VR6's that were there, that had better paint jobs on them than my 88 and where cleaner than my 16v. Since I really went to this show just to be there and wasn't showing it, like others that had cars there.

... plus awards at Cincy are different in good way, than what was at this above show

Cincy news: Hotel group rate is held to the same price as last year - $92/nite. They **should** be ready to accept reservations. As always, it's the "scirocco.org" group rate. (937) 283-3200. Call early, call often. Cut-off is (I believe) May 12th. (I don't have the paperwork in front of me.)

This reminded me of when I bought my first '81S... The owner was from Scottland, and when he bought the car new, there was a Mk.1 and an '82 Scirocco on the showroom floor.
I told him that I wouldn't be here right now, if he hadn't made the right choice...
