Your tails turned out nice! I just got another can of the red today. I used it on my cherokee and a mk2 jetta and they turned out excellent! My current lights look a little dry and have light surface cracks so This should liven it up! I also wanted to do all of the side markers. I hate those so much! I wish I could find clear ones or was ready to shave them! I figure it should all look a little better if it's one uniform color. I still think your pinstriping really brings it together! Wonderfulful little car

Thank you! I always get people asking who did the pin striping and they're always super surprised when I say I did. Dunno why. lol.

And Aaron, yah I've seen that video! I'm also in the Euromedian video from H2O last year.

Thank you! It's Krylon spray paint, satin Ivory. The car looks good in photos, I guess that's all that matters right?!

We're leaving for H2O on Sunday!!!!!! Spending the week there, rented a house. Any other Cabby owners on here going?

Settle on my house this Friday and the Cabby is still in pieces. Plenty of other cars to drive, but there's a garage floor to be epoxy painted and things of that nature!

I honestly don't think I'm going to miss it and a year off will be a good thing.

H2O was AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had such a blast, and can't even begin to count the amount of good times and memories that were made. Some of it had to do with the cars, but most of it was because of the people I met and the people I already knew. Anyways, here are a few pictures, the rest are in my thread.

      http://forums.vwvortex.com/showthrea...e-H2O-Photos-P

Mine and my buddies car, BMW E30 with a Nissan SR20 swap. On the cover of the current issue of Performance BMW.

Those of us who went for the week, the other half of our group showed up later on. This Corrado won third place in the whole show!

      Got stuck here....

I can't put my racelands all the way down or the pan will be sitting on the ground. I should have snapped a picture of my height at H2O, that was probably the lowest I've had it. Pan and control arm pinch welds were about 1/4" from the ground and I think I still had like an inch of threads left. Rode like complete sh*t! Lol

It's been a while. Picture time! Did an oil change last night and threw my new snows on. Blew a wheel cylinder driving into the shop though!

Question, anyone else winter drive their Cabby? If so, what do you do to prepare it for winter driving? I usually spread some vaseline on all my door seals so they don't freeze shut, makes a world of difference!

youre not supposed to floor it to 100mph then slam on the brakes while entering the garage

time to change your brake fluid aye?

      i mean.....brake fluid always rusts everything.....its unavoidable

I used to winter drive my Cabby. All I ever did was throw the snow tires on. It would churn through plenty of the white stuff, had in up to around 6" of un-plowed.

But it's fun!!! I'm going to change all my brake parts next weekend actually, been meaning to do the fronts anyways and now the shoes on the left side are contaminated with fluid.... Might as well do all the lines too!

Here's the newest addition, spotlights! I've always loved the "rally" sort of look, and these will prove practical as well since I often make two-three hour trips to visit friends or family. And nothing scares the hell outta me more than driving in the snow and dark and having sh*tty Mk1 headlights! So problem solved!

If you haven't already I highly recommend adding a relayed wiring harness to your headlights. It makes a huge difference.

Just curious.. If you have to remove your hood each time you get under it, will you now have to remove the lights every time, or can you just unplug the lights?
