H2O was AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had such a blast, and can't even begin to count the amount of good times and memories that were made. Some of it had to do with the cars, but most of it was because of the people I met and the people I already knew. Anyways, here are a few pictures, the rest are in my thread.

    http://forums.vwvortex.com/showthrea...e-H2O-Photos-P

Mine and my buddies car, BMW E30 with a Nissan SR20 swap. On the cover of the current issue of Performance BMW.

Those of us who went for the week, the other half of our group showed up later on. This Corrado won third place in the whole show!

    Got stuck here....

I can't put my racelands all the way down or the pan will be sitting on the ground. I should have snapped a picture of my height at H2O, that was probably the lowest I've had it. Pan and control arm pinch welds were about 1/4" from the ground and I think I still had like an inch of threads left. Rode like complete sh*t! Lol

It's been a while. Picture time! Did an oil change last night and threw my new snows on. Blew a wheel cylinder driving into the shop though!

Question, anyone else winter drive their Cabby? If so, what do you do to prepare it for winter driving? I usually spread some vaseline on all my door seals so they don't freeze shut, makes a world of difference!

youre not supposed to floor it to 100mph then slam on the brakes while entering the garage

time to change your brake fluid aye?

    i mean.....brake fluid always rusts everything.....its unavoidable

I used to winter drive my Cabby. All I ever did was throw the snow tires on. It would churn through plenty of the white stuff, had in up to around 6" of un-plowed.

But it's fun!!! I'm going to change all my brake parts next weekend actually, been meaning to do the fronts anyways and now the shoes on the left side are contaminated with fluid.... Might as well do all the lines too!

Here's the newest addition, spotlights! I've always loved the "rally" sort of look, and these will prove practical as well since I often make two-three hour trips to visit friends or family. And nothing scares the hell outta me more than driving in the snow and dark and having sh*tty Mk1 headlights! So problem solved!

If you haven't already I highly recommend adding a relayed wiring harness to your headlights. It makes a huge difference.

Just curious.. If you have to remove your hood each time you get under it, will you now have to remove the lights every time, or can you just unplug the lights?

    Already done.

Actually ever since doing the engine swap, I never hooked the hinges back up. The hood just comes completely off. The lights are bolted to the hood, I simply have to unplug two wires and the lights are disconnected.

Did you paint your hood yourself? I stripped this hood down a few months ago. And i've been wondering what to do with it... I more or less want to paint it and hang it on my wall.

Did you use acrylic paint? or paint markers? Did you clear over it?

I used stuff called sign painters paint, it's a super thick acrylic that comes in little yellow cans. No clear coat.

He is very cute! My one cat's nickname is "Goober," because that's what he acts like most of the time. VW Rabbits are the only variety I can own due to a nasty allergy to them. We were just observing all the cute, fuzzy bunnies at the last day of hte Farm Show, yesterday, though!

How's the Cabby world doing? I'm wondering if anyone here can help me identify these wheels that I picked up today... they're super cool but no one seems to know what they are! They have 'Made in England' stamped on them, they're et45 and 13x5, 4x100 bolt pattern.

Whoa! Those are amazing! Makes me wanna sell my corrado BBS's and big brakes! If I install my 10.1" front brakes, I forfeit the chance of ever running cool 13's like that! Epic find! I wanna know what they are too If only they had a little extra width...

HI everyone! I'm still alive! Just been in hibernation, but spring has sprung and it's time to start working on the Laffnstalk again. Got a brand new front end, front fenders, and roof going on. Also got a brand new 9A transmission that I got for dirt cheap (thanks to an awesome friend!) that'll be going in soon.

Not much has happened over the winter, except some shenanigans in the snow... Tail tapped that shopping cart and put a dent in the quarter panel! And my friend just happened to get a picture of the exact moment it happened.

Also a guy in a Mini rear ended my car a week ago. He dented in the panel below the left tail light. I don't care if I put a dent in my own car, but man it pisses me off when someone else does! He paid me for the damage, and until I can fix it I made it tolerable.
