Thread: 2005 3.2, 101k miles, 10k. a good deal?

    what should i look out for when test driving? all the services seem to have been performed. should i pull the trigger?

    I'd be interested to see if it is worth it also.

    I found a 2004 3.2 for sale for around 13,000 with about 65,000 on it.

    I'm not sure what they are supposed to go for or what to even look for when buying a used one.

    with that mileage I would get a carfax and ask for service records. Maintenance is important on the Touareg with the correct oil type and service.
    Do a long test drive on different roads and conditions if possible. Take it to get it inspected, if you have a good dealer or relationship with a VW service adviser.


    I have a 2005 v6 with 95k miles and works better than new, will need new brakes soon but love the car.

    Repairs on Touaregs can be expensive for engine, transmission and drive-train.

    Where I live some use Touareg sell very quick.

    There is no timing belt on any of the VR6's. They all have chains.

    Right you are...I was still in 30V V6 mode...
