I'd be interested to see if it is worth it also.
I found a 2004 3.2 for sale for around 13,000 with about 65,000 on it.
I'm not sure what they are supposed to go for or what to even look for when buying a used one.

with that mileage I would get a carfax and ask for service records. Maintenance is important on the Touareg with the correct oil type and service.
Do a long test drive on different roads and conditions if possible. Take it to get it inspected, if you have a good dealer or relationship with a VW service adviser.
I have a 2005 v6 with 95k miles and works better than new, will need new brakes soon but love the car.
Repairs on Touaregs can be expensive for engine, transmission and drive-train.
Where I live some use Touareg sell very quick.
