Slight update, got a few goodies in the mail today.
Going to have to wait till I get back from vacation.
try the rear ground for the tailights, located in the trunk on the left side right beside the shock tower. if the ground is bad there it may burn up the ground wire and your rear tailights do all kinds of weird flashing...

All your cars are pretty awesome. I may look at building a motor for the jetta once my finances have settled out. Trying to move and get the car in daily driver condition at the same time is a bit stressfull.
after my brother moved out and the fox motor was blown he left us high and dry. me and my dad did it right. tore the motor down and had it bored out new gaskets all around. new forged wiesco pistons and after 6 months of building it all winter 2000$ later the car runs great i just haven't rebuilt the head my brother did. im going to put about 600$ for new parts on the head.
so building a motor is takes time. good luck to you nick. vwturbofox
Got armor door plates to cover the small rust spots
And tried to wash it the other day, I don't think it did much good. Managed to scrub some of the green gunk off.
And put all the plastic bits back on after a bit of cleaning.
nice nick looking good keep up the good work. yeah you might not see my fox around the block for some time blew out my gasket from the manifold to the turbo the stainless steel gasket cracked. the new one will be here on the 23 of this month
it's a simple fix but take about 2 hours to put in
so when are you going to turbo the jetta
hey man were the hell are your updated im waiting
Not a lot has happened, as far as mods. It melted in July. I fixed it, it broke. I tried to fix it again. Failed....
And now it runs again. Needed a new WUR and I broke a wire replacing the fuse box that made it not run after that. Saving up for suspension now.
I also scored some 15x7 enkei 92 I am going to refinish, and a set of Recaro trophys for $150 from a garage sale in awesome condition.
dam that is alot of head ache keep up the work. oh did you move cause i don't see your jetta at your house anymore. or am i just driving buy at the wrong time.
nice on your own now. im still living with my parent's don't wanna move out for a couple more years plus the fox is expensive to maintane if it breaks turbo cars can be a bitch

Picked this up over the weekend. GTI 1.8 8v supposedly with a g-grind cam in it and an external oil cooler and transmission for $150!
I plan on doing a slight build with it. So far it will be getting a port and polish with some better valve springs and maybe a bigger cam.
