I did a search and the last thread made on the subject was last posted on in 2009.

What supplements do all you guys take?

This is what I am currently taking.
      1M.R. (Pre Workout)
      ON Whey Gold Standard
      ON Casein Gold Standard
      BCAA's (Pre Empty Stomach Cardio)
      ON Optimen Mutli-Vitamin

Looking into getting a Fat Burner to take as well.

Has anyone tried any of the Muscle Pharm Supps? I'm curious about their Creatine and some other stuff.

Research it. it is fantastic for strength gains and losing water weight. It's just a mild over the counter AI.

Are you taking l-dopa from M. Pruriens? Either way, have you looked at taking it with green tea, or at least EGCG?

L-dopa is almost entirely metabolized before it gets to the brain and in large enough doses can cause some pretty undesirable side effects in your peripherals like nausea, weakness, vertigo, etc. A component in green tea, EGCG acts to prevent this metabolism outside of the brain. When treating Parkinsons patients, L-dopa is administered with another drug called Carbidopa that accomplishes the same thing.

L-dopa from macuna in both 75% and 25%. Green tea is good for L-theanine, which is amazing in it's own right, and I like that too.

Macuna is hands down one of my favorite supplements. The elevated mood, clarity, and sleep can't be beat. There are way more studies that show the benefits over the few that talk about the possible side effects. I experience all of the benefits and have blood work to prove it works.

Part of the benefit of getting annuals and regular blood work, is knowing that I am not just guessing.

I'm glad to hear you say that. I've been taking macuna as well, with a couple capsules of EGCG for good measure. Mood is very subjective, but I've felt better as well.

What blood markers do you believe it influences?

Well, testosterone primarily. In additional to my vitals, I get test checked too. What it did was elevate my free test really high. So, put all the factors together and it is tops on my list.

I just bought some hemorage (pre workout powder) and had an incredible day at the gym. Where I would normally stop or ***** out, I powered through and went back for more. I think I like this better than jack3d or noxplod so far*. We will see how the crash is, right now I'm 2 hours from first sip and I want to lift more.

*keep in mind the placebo effect for these things is probably high, and I took 5 days off from lifting so I was quite refreshed. That said, the placebo effect alone is enough to make it worth it for me.

      Myofusion
      Jack3d

In reverse order, though. Jack3d makes my face tingle. Mostly in my cheeks. Anyone else notice this? Should I be concerned?

That is just the beta alanine. Some people seem to like it, but I hate that feeling. It's the main reason I steer clear of anything with high niacin or any pwo. Don't like flush or tingly feelings.

You folks that like the DMAA in Jacked and other PWOs- you keeping up with the attempted banning? They've been pulling it pretty quickly. might want to stock up if that's your thing.

      I have a tough request:

Caffeine/stimulant based supps have zero effect on me and I think I have a handle on it. I have the genetic inclination towards ADD. My brother was diagnosed early with ADHD and then my dad was diagnosed with Adult ADD. I don't have any of the tendencies but I have noticed that stimulants do jack squat for me, for example I can drink a double espresso and go to bed.

So, my quest is to find a good supp that works in a non-stimulant fashion. Any recommendations? I'm mainly looking for something for recovery since I've been staying sore longer in my old age.

Rhodiola rosea is amazing for clear energy and is great for you with regards to stress. It's been around forever, but starting to get notice for how long it lasts and how good it is for you, so it is starting to get added into some pwos.

how much coffee do you drink?

the more addicted to caffeine a person is, the less affect it will have on them.

I NEVER drink coffee so most of those stimulant supplements make me bounce off the walls on a half dose. my girlfriend drinks coffee all the time, caffeine does nothing for her now

2 a day, usually a double espresso in the morning and a hand-poured in the afternoon, but my coffee intake has fluctuated over the years but my aversion to stimulants has always been there.

Not everybody is affected. Myself, I feel like I am having a heart attack and my skin turns hot, red, and blotchy.

You would think so but tests show I am vitamin D deficient and need to take it, weird too because I love the sun and am always out in it.
