      While driving on I-75 in Dallas this morning I was reminded of how it's been far to long since we had a donk thread.

      Feast your eyes on this beauty:
      -Caprice Classic with roof chopped off, no roll bars and standard windshield
      -driver blasting rap on a PA system
      -wearing puffy ski hat
      -rolling on 26's
      -car-colored truck nuts
      -aggressively weaving in and out of traffic

      So let's get this going, show me the finest examples of donks/sticker cars out there.

      Does this tiny photo from the local 8 highway count?

      The car is purple, and the chrome lettering on the back reads "statutory grape"

      I think that's technically a low rider.

      +1

      Also, technically, to be a "donk", it needs to be an Impala. Donk is short for Donkey, which is what stupid people think the Impala logo is. Everything else is a hi-rise/scraper/box/bubble/whatever you want to call it.

      This is the only theme donk I've ever seen (in columbus, OH) and If it weren't for the theme and ugly ass brake covers i'd say it is the most tastefully done donk. Too bad it's still crap.

      Do you really need a new thread when everything is just going to be recycled from the previous one?

      That blue one is astonishingly tasteful. Doesn't that sort of disqualify it as a donk, because it's not totally ridiculous?

      It's not a Donk because it's not an Impala.

      It might barely qualify as a Box, but it's not very high (if it's raised at all) and the wheels are way too small. I like donks. As a kid I drew stupid proto-box vehicles because they seemed cool.

      In columbus there is a caprice that is orange and has the tide laundry detergent logo on it. On the back it says "Never Ride Dirty" The owner also has speakers mounted in the rear doors facing outwards to blast rap at people. I really need to get pics of it

      Donk = Impala
      Box = 1977-1990 Caprice
      Bubble = 1991-1996 Caprice
      Scraper = Oldmobile or Buick "GM Luxury line"
      Hi-riser = All of the above

      Then there is also, the Swangers on mustard & Mayo which is an acceptable variant to the Hi-rise genre.

      RACECAR spelled backwards is RACECAR.

      Statuatory Grape was the original name for the purple color used on the 70s Mopars. It was renamed to Plum Crazy when the nutjobs freaked out.

      Yes and no. The main choice are Cragar wires. They were a upgrade option on the 83-84 Caddy Eldorado's but only a limited run was available. Vouges are the available alternative.

      They then modify them to "poke" and have the knock-off more pronounced.

      Also, Swangers are also refered to as "84s" for the year of availability of the wheels.
