While driving on I-75 in Dallas this morning I was reminded of how it's been far to long since we had a donk thread.

Feast your eyes on this beauty:
-Caprice Classic with roof chopped off, no roll bars and standard windshield
-driver blasting rap on a PA system
    -wearing puffy ski hat
    -rolling on 26's
    -car-colored truck nuts
-aggressively weaving in and out of traffic

So let's get this going, show me the finest examples of donks/sticker cars out there.

Does this tiny photo from the local 8 highway count?

The car is purple, and the chrome lettering on the back reads "statutory grape"

Also, technically, to be a "donk", it needs to be an Impala. Donk is short for Donkey, which is what stupid people think the Impala logo is. Everything else is a hi-rise/scraper/box/bubble/whatever you want to call it.

Is that a fact? That really made me laugh.

    Choice donks yo.
I'd like to try one out, see what it's like. Then get a helmet and do some cornering.

Wow someone once told me that they're called donks because of the "ba-donk-a-donk" sound the car's suspension makes. I thought it sounded stupid, but then again I think the whole concept of these cars is stupid. Each to his own though.

    wrong.

Donks: Modified Chevys from the mid 70's with a sloping tail.
Boxes: Modified Chevys from the mid 80's with a boxy rear clip.
Bubbles: Modified Chevys from the 90's that are rounded on both ends

Statuatory Grape was the original name for the purple color used on the 70s Mopars. It was renamed to Plum Crazy when the nutjobs freaked out.

Living in South Carolina and being unable to snag pictures of the "Donks" around the area... But I have seen donks in Newport, Sun-beam bread, skittles, coca-cola, black-n-mild, grape and orange Fanta, Trojen Condoms...

Pretty much anything random you could at one time find them around here.. The trend is slowing fading away although we have the "crown vic boyz" which is a group of guys with you guessed it Crown Vics..

This car lot isn't far from where I live.. Pretty awesome.....

Maybe that is due to excessive drug use, which can lead to prostitution and homelessness.

Don't drive a Corolla or you might end up a homeless prostitute.

My god... "Statutory Grape"... Amazing. I now need a purple car so I can run that as a windshield banner.
