If your gas cap light comes on even if you think you tightened the cap, try pulling on the cap as you tighten it. Worked for me.

Not going to release schematics or part numbers until I sell my switch. total cost for the dongle is around $100 all oem.

I don't care about all those things...does it work and how so? Just plug it in and you get permanent race mode with no other switching ability? How did you test it to know you are actually in "race" mode? Should it be routed into the car or can it just be strapped to the outer haldex housing safely? Thanks!

The unit is a Race dongle, it sits outside the car.It has the same plugs as the switch, oem plug and haldex unit. It has the same pin configuration as the switch in race mode, and has no capability of any other mode unless i remove it, then it is in sport mode by default. I have schematics for all 3 modes but who wants stock?. It is fully water proof which i cant say so about the oem plug, as mine is heat shrinked an has waterproof plugs for each pin slot. There is know way for sure to tell if it is working as there is no way( that i know of) to get feedback from the haldex unit to say its in race mode. But i have Butt tested it and I am very confident that it is in race mode. Also very confident in my wiring/soldering and troubleshooting skills.![]()

Nice work on the Race dongle. Been thinking about it and now that I purchased an upgraded Haldex unit I will definitely be looking into it. Was it pretty easy to source the parts? I'm pretty patient so I can wait until you release more details![]()

Dealer wants $180! Not happening 6k miles out of warranty and it was reported discolored at 48k. But they wouldn't do a thing, also I'm CPO!
Any one have a good source on d2s 4300k?

I have been doing research on different HID bulbs/manufacturers for offering as future product line myself, but haven't finished my research.
Do you know if the replacement bulb they used was a 5000k replacement bulb? HID bulbs phase shift their output over their life. So a 4300k bulb new will shift towards a bluer hue over time usually ending up in the 5000k to 5500k zone. Some companies offer a no phase shift single replacement bulb that is about 5000k and will not change (unlike if you purchase a regular 5000k bulb it will phase shift to a noticeably higher temperature).
Right now, if I had to buy an pair of HID bulbs I would shell out for the Philips brand...but even then there are different variations and salt forms of each which can drastically affect output. Ideally, with you already using a new bulb on one side you might be more interested in getting something that matches the current one...but it's near impossible without inspecting the bulb markings or knowing specifically what was installed as the new bulb.
I have more notes on the subject, especially regarding salts used and their impact on the bulb's light output and quality and such. I can check it out for you if you really care to have more input.
As for being a warranty item, you could take advantage of your goodwill warranty, but I suspect you'll not want to use it on just a bulb...as I had them goodwill warranty my $1,000 radiator fan repairs last year out of warranty. I'm not sure if that works as a one time use up to $xxx amount of dollars or if it can be cumulative.
Eitherway, good luck with getting them to warranty it. I know what kind of fight that can be.

Im loving the dash shelf. Brake fluid swapped to ATE super blue, it was nice using a different colored fluid.
Tires are rotated wow I'm going through tires fast. Now I'm going to start looking for winter tires and put them on when the current summers run out, then get a nice set for autoX and summer
Filled my washer fluid...
Headlight should be here tomorrow
