Any way you want to sell any parts/or the car? Haha, just getting into the VW community with a 337. I'm just in victoria, and still a rookie with modding, anything helps. Where to get parts, if you know anyone in victoria in the VW scene, etc... thanks mark

My Beetle had the common water leak like yourself and it took me a while to troubleshoot the issue. I've cleaned the sunroof drains which helped but did not get rid of the issue. So I decided to have the windshield replaced since it has so much chips and scratches on it. Wouldn't you know it, that fixed the problem. We had big rainfall yesterday and my front carpets are dry. Finally!

I have no sunroof , I looked at where the drains usually go through where the door opens and took the plug off and repositioned it. I haven't had the car for 3 weeks since its been in the bodyshop getting painted. So once I get it back I hope it will stay dry inside! I also gotta put my fender liners back in cause they do serve a purpose.

Hopefully I will be able to snag some before pics of what it looked like....

Why not I have 2 sets of caps ....--More just for fun, The badge that fits for the rs caps is the same vw emblem thats used for 1.8t engine covers. Cost 18$ each But only in the blue and white.

If they were Black and Chrome they might work but blue doesn't do it for me!

Tires arrived at mailbox today so hopefully more updates very soon

      LBs sanded ready for Primer

The battery fuse panel is painted as u can see thats the only painted peice been put on so far.

I also have 2 intake systems installed Carbonio and DIA BMC intake ---gotta fix

Valve cover and intake be put on soon to make it nicer as well as engine covers

Had the car at Pg yesterday for the whole day and let Jeff work his magic:

      =Raxles are in
-New R32 Strut mounts- Density line
-Audi TT Control Arm bushings-all around
      -New Tie rods/ assembly
      -Evolution Skid plate
-Cleaned and set the ride height
      -New Fender liners

      with winters still on

Time to get rid of these wheels and put the true ones on

Tonight I have Peter giving me a hand installing:

-Intake Manifold/New South Performance Power gasket
      -Valve cover/ gasket
      -Cam tensioner gasket
      -Spark Plugs-Iridium BKR7EIX
      -Throttle Body gasket

Carbonio intake / BMC intake hybrid system

So got a bit of work done over the weekend--Stressful Friday and Saturday. Im not a 1.8t guy at all so this is all new to me. I had a Friend Peter Szigeti (Peter3L) Help me with the install. He is a mechanic at Blitzkrieg Autowerks here in Vancouver.

This is his car some of you might know Peter Personally

More of His build and Pics of his car=http://forums.vwvortex.com/showthread.php?4329309

What we got up to--Friday night after work swapped the valve cover

The old one on the inside when we took her off---shows how clean she really is

Skid plate had to come off to move the crank to right position to be able to loosen the chain to get at the cam tension gasket.

      THe old half moon

Some beers and time for new gasket, was a bit of a bitch to get in but lucky he had the proper tools and I learned a few things.

      Valve cover in:

One of these things is not like the other: Can you spot it???

The late one on the left has two prongs where as the early one has 1. I had spent hours polishing and painting so we improvised and drilled and tapped and 1/4 inch fitting into the New intake. Thanks Reid Hill for the Fitting/ drill , without that we would have been waiting till monday day to have this done!

New South Performance Power Gasket is in and for anyone curious you can use stock hardware and it goes in fine.

Taped up for non scratch Install

All Said and Done= Yes the Caps and coolant bottle need to be changed. For not it must be Cleaned and degreased to bring it back to life!

Thanks again to Peter for the Help of the install and Reid you saved the day by having your drill and random useful fitting/ tap set

Your telling me, Id have them on if it didn't snow today, having winter tires is the LAW!

Hopefully in the next few weeks Ill have them on. But for now concentrating on getting the bay clean and my Longbeaches painted. Choosing a nice color is tough
