Hey now, those are my steelies you're talkin 'bout. They cannot help that they are ugly and mismatched.

thanks im still finalizing the finishing touches on the wheels. Prob going to lay black paint in the center caps to bring out the machined pattern, then polish the face to have it really pop. Should come out well and shouldnt mess up the paint in the grooves.

this was an exciting week for me... wheels should be done by the weekend, i ordered new drip rail seals, and... i fixed this.....

Those of you with mk2 vr's can respect this. I was able to wire in my tach to work without having to swap to the hideous mk3 cluster. The best part is it only cost me about 10$ worth of supplies!
I know its a small detail but i cannot explain how much i missed my tach and how much it botthered me having a beautiful car and something so simple not functioning. So it was a good week.

Everytime I drove past Radio Shack I said to myself "stop in there and get the stuff to fix the tach" but I never did.

Bad News Guys!!!!!!!!!!! As of 6PM tonight the car is sold.... I was glad to get it back but to be honest in the three months i had it back i can honestly say i hate Mk2 VR6's!!! They run great, sound amazing, and are way more reliable then 16v's... and yet I would have my 16v back in a heart beat.
16V FTW!!! VRs just ruin everything that was great about the mk2 generation.... I have my eyes on some rolling shells out there. Im starting a new project and i am going to build it better then before. Now with a good job and a daily car i can build it how i want and do it right from the start. I will miss my car but it served me well and someone else can enjoy it now.

I sure hope so Adam. A lot of time and effort went into that car. It was family. But its time for someone else to enjoy it and time for me to start fresh. So far I have my freshly finished fittipaldis, g60 flares, and some smoked Aero ecodes. All I need is a shell. If anyone knows where I can get a decent shell let me know.
