Hey, I could actually use one in California at this time of year!
I'm also a lot closer to Puebla..... Couldn't they have just dropped it off near me?

We will have to ask that fellow at Capistrano VW for a special sercice. He's the guy that
did that super-informative film on the Beetle, explaining anything and everything. The car
he used for his illustrations had the smaller rear headrests so he must have an 'in' at Puebla,
getting them to send a non U.S. version to him through his secret 'Cal-Mex' network. If he
can do that, finding the exact car for 'Lady Ghia' and having it brought across the border
should be 'no problemo' !

Maybe it's my imagination but when I saw my first 'sunroof' Beetle, a brown one that
arrived at the dealership about one month ago and has since been sold, it seemed to
me that it didn't have as large a coverage area as the white one which just came in.
I haven't seen the most recent one with the sunroof in an open position but when one
of the sales rep's mentioned in passing that he thought this one was larger, it just
confirmed my thoughts that much more. Could part of the sunroof problem be that VW
felt a re-configuration was in order? Not saying that the open area would be different
but perhaps the surrounding outer area of the sunroof's frame was increased since the
new one looks to have a larger panoramic area to it in the closed position. I'd ask Bill
to chime in but was told he's on another one of his 'tequila junkets' and that means
only 'gibberish' can be expected in his responses while he's in the aforementioned
'condition'.
