We picked up a 4 door CW this evening from the new location of Darcars, out in Silver Spring; great guys to deal with, enjoyed the transaction. Paid MSRP, but the awesome deal on our trade made it work.

This one is my ever loving wife's - my RBM 2 door is on order...

I think we live up the hill from bumpjump - we were driving to the dealer around noon, and my wife's eagle eyes caught the CSG in the driveway. Noticed the wheels first...

So I bought the R this morning. Martens made a decent deal on the trade, close to an even swap before taxes etc. Paid MSRP for the R. Only driven it 15 miles or so, all in city traffic. Looking forward to getting out early Sunday for a true test. Happy to join the club.

was getting my mk5 Gti fixed at the dealer, and talking to the sales guy, says one is on it's way.
picked up my car from service, 600 bucks for a fuel pump, ended up trading it in for the R that just came in the day before, carbon steel 2d navi. was at Wallace VW in Bristol TN. i live in Abingdon VA

Picked up 2dr DBM w/nav at Fitzgerald Annapolis 2 weeks ago today. I almost bought a GTI Autobahn (4 door CW) at King VW same day but they low-balled my trade so badly I walked out. I had been told that there would be no R without a wait. Walked into Fitzgerald and drove out a few hours later. Fitzgerald's website had the car marked as 'sold car' but apparently the deal didn't go through. So I had really just gone there to see what they had. I made a remark to the salesman about 'I want a Golf R but I don't want to wait' and he just replied 'you don't have to'.

I guess I need to pop a couple of photos. What I'm really missing at the moment is rain-sensing wipers and auto-headlights. Which is silly I know, but once you get used to 'not thinking about something' it's a bit of an adjustment to have to remember again.

Just got over the 1k break-in threshold yesterday, and the engine does seem to have loosened up where it really wants to push past 2/3 of red-line so I'll have to go for a drive today and push it a little bit.

I finally got to sit in one this past week when I went to pick up my mkvi GTI . I want one soo bad, but @ $38,000 sticker it was wayy out of my budget. Probably will get one in a couple years.

I've been commuting up 270 thru Montgomery County from DC just about every day in my wife's CW 4 door for the last week or so, except when she was doing a detail and wax on it for a couple of those days her car is my DD while I anxiously await my RBM 2 door...

Just spotted a 2-Door rising blue R at the intersection of Cherry Hill Road and Broadbirch Dr in Colesville. Didn't notice if it had a sunroof or not.

I was in my 2007 GTI and they spotted me at the same time I spotted them.

You ordered yours back in July, yes? I'd considered going with Lindsay in December but was concerned they wouldn't have a car for me for a loooong time. Sounds like that concern was valid, if they're just getting to cars ordered in July.

Of course, it's not like I have my car yet, either. So who knows? But hopefully it made the boat it was supposed to get on.

Near Ft Meade, MD. Can't post pics right now, but if you go over to the Golf R picture game thread you'll see two photos I posted. I'll post on here next week when I'm back home. Bought my first VW in January, a 2012 GLI Autobahn w/ Nav.. Really love that car, but ultimately I decided I wanted the AWD the R has so I traded up last week for the Carbon Steel Gray 4 dr. I was fortunate to even get it as the dealer had to trade a couple of his cars to another dealer for it.

I love everything about it... I'm out of town all week without it..
