Finally got mine today. Ordered back in early December. Mine is apparently the 2nd one that Alexandria VW delivered; the 3rd is a CSG 4 door that should be arriving soon (wave if you are on the forum).

No pics because it is dark, but it's a Rising Blue 4 door, with nav and roof, not unlike the many others that have been posted.

Oh, and I won the tire lottery and got the Pirellis. It had 17 miles on it when I first drove it, 21 when I signed the papers.

It's hard to believe I've had this car on order for five months and this is the first time I actually was able to get behind the wheel of one. It's certainly fun so far; my overall impressions are that the gearing in first is short short short, the engine has plenty of power as long as you give it a moment for the revs and boost to build, and it's gruff and growly in a way that my previous turbo VAGs haven't been (an 02 GTI and an 06 A4).

I like it.

@Golf-UR - I think I tried to exchange for your RB, before pulling the trigger on mine Saw one listed, didn't know if it was spoken for.

BTW, for those keeping score:
- My VW came with Pirellis.
- Took delivery with 14 miles on the odometer.
- Lindsay does NOT pre-drill the front bumpers I'll need to pick up a tow hook mount soon.

Also, there are 2 4-dr RB Base, and one CW 2-dr (I think) Sunroof/Nav remaining as of yesterday evening.

Lindsay has three cars sitting on the lot?

Alexandria did pre-drill the bumpers, but I had a towhook mount on my M3 and got kind of sick of it. The plate was always getting bent and knocked off-kilter. I hate having the holes (and the front plate), but maybe as I'm aging I'm getting soft.

The one I ordered was spec'd to be red before I put a deposit down on it and had them change it to RB. The red ones I've seen have made me question whether that was the right move. Enjoy!

Correct. There were 4 for sale, but 7 on the lot when I was looking last Saturday. BTW it really gets my goat that Corporate is even able to get a 'limited' car like the Golf R - not to mention more than one. The RB loaded I wanted? Corporate. Then when I was there yesterday, I parked next to ANOTHER loaded RB with manufacturer tags on it.

Ah well, CW is pretty sweet

Ah, I was going to say I can hook you up with the shop here that is doing all of the work on my R. They use United Motorsports flashes, not Uni, APR, ect.

Thank you sir! I was 50/50 on the black top but I figured I'd try it. Get the coils, I was iffy on going ultra lows due to no adjustable dampening, but it handles wonderfully.

So. . .I'm getting on a group-buy for some LED tail-lights. Which is against everything I believe in as I'm ordering them before I actually have my car (I know, seems to be common-place here) which should hopefully come next week.

Anyway, I'm going to get the ones with the rear-fog.

First, I guess this will require another headlight switch that can control the rear fog. But, I also want the automatic headlights as well. So, I'm going to order this:

Anyone in the DC area willing to help me to figure out/program it to actually work together? I could probably figure it out if I had the Vagcom thing. . . but I think the programming, plus whatever needs to be done with moving wires around is whats intimidating me.
