Haha ya the zip ties are temporary(need to install my plate holder - then my plates - so no zip ties are showing but I am keeping it there).

BUT anything is better than blocking the intercooler and drilling into my bumper!!!

And I've heard/researched that getting the tow hook plate has 2 disadvantages 1. It's to close to the bumper and can scratch 2. People can steal it

Im not in northern VA yet, but I will be in mid July. Looking to make some new friends once I move down. I have a CW 2dr w/ sunroof and navigation. First VW. First manual car.

Plan on tints when I get down there and stage 1+ in the fall.

I had a tow hook plate bracket on my 135i and loved it. As for stealing, it's not like it's any more difficult for someone to steal plates by unscrewing a couple screws from a regular plate holder. No one ever messed with mine in the 3 years it was on my car.

My R had the bumper bracket installed when it arrived at the dealer. I didn't order the car so i obviously didn't get a chance to tell them not to drill the bumper. Oh well. I can live with it.

I live in crystal city(arlingotn) about 1/2 mile form the metro in a house with safe street parking for my baby haha - i plan my moving around parking for my car... so anywhere you can safely park your car is good

I need to schedule my 90 day check up and I'm concerned that Darcars in Silver Spring would not look kindly on my GIAC tune. They were great to deal with when I bought the car, but I put some feeler questions out about mods when I picked up my plates and the answers I got were not encouraging.

Yup.. happening on the 28th at Summitt. Even if you don't want to get out on track at least show up. Also Dubhaus is doing a GTG at 630 on the 27th at VWoA. Pizza and Dubs.

Got the intake installed today. It's a tight fit, but sounds really good. Sorry for the iPhone pic. Install was pretty easy, except for me tightening a hose clamp too tight and I broke the clamp. Drove up the to auto parts store and picked up another clamp and that solved my mistake.
