Got to my dealer at 11 A.M., which was just in time to see the manager driving my
car onto the property, having picked it up personally at the original dealer who received
the car recently from Puebla. His test ride...and mine....found no problems to speak of.
Did notice that the Titan Black/Blue fabric that VW did a poor job of illustrating in their
color brochure, stood out more than the plain Black I've seen on some launch Beetles.
The blue 'contrast' ticking-stitching is incorporated into the overall surround of the seats
and this wasn't obvious at all in any brochure photos I had seen. Had I waited for my
originally ordered car (still five weeks away), that vehicle is coming with the standard
Black Titan seats which have plain black ticking-stitching. Am glad someone deciided to do
this one with the Blue. The tires are Hankook and the car is fittted with both the sport
suspension and the 3 gauge pod. I was very impressed with the whole stick-shift experience
in the car. This is my first 'turbo' and the rascal sure does have 'pep', with ' lag' not really
being enough for me to call it a drawback. Haven't driven 'her' hard yet and will wait until
1,000 - 1,500 miles before really putting my 'pedal to the metal'. Didn't experience any
'creaks or 'rattles' on uneven surface roads in my area and everything seems to be working
properly throughout the vehicle. Will take her to the custom wheel/tire shop tomorrow and
have the tires taken off the '18" Twisters' and mounted onto my chromed 'Taladegas'. Must
admit the 'Twisters' do look good in person. Am 'charging' the batteries for a camera I haven't
used since 'the year of the flood' and hope I'm able to take some photos tomorrow. It's been
5 1/2 months since the write-up of my order and I'm so relieved the car has arrived and is
not showing any of the problems some have reported about on this site. Hopefully, this will
continue. How exciting! I cannot wait till I get mine! Congratulations!!!!
