What gauge is that? Do you find it distracting having it in that location?

Why would I put something where it would be distracting?

It's functionality is to show the PSI levels in my tank pressure just incase of any major leaks.. the controller is hidden in the oem dash cubby which is closed when driving.

I went with an electronic bar pressure PODI gauge. I'm very happy with the quality and fitment with the pod itself, because it is OEM as it gets

When you see the car this weekend, you will see the pod is like a boost gauge offcenter so you can check the MFD screen, etc..

I had many options, but decided this would suit my needs.

I don't think I mentioned the Gauge being "OEM", but do see mentioning how the "POD"itself is being close to OEM fitment as you can....

What are the specs on the ccw's/tires?? I'm jealous, but glad to see the potential the JSW has.

Looking good; I like the horns. Should get pedestrians out of the way when you're in a parking lot.

Where are you sourcing your OEM fabrics from?

The reason I ask is that the "black" trunk carpet in my '09 JSW has strands of navy blue fibers mixed in with the black fibers, which creates a "rich" black tone.

I found black carpet that was close from an automotive upholsterer a few years back, but it would be nice to the OEM carpet direct from VW.

Same goes for the fabric that's used on the A-pillars... I'm going to be making A-pillar pods for my 4" midranges this summer for better sound staging.

There is a local upholsterey shop near my house that has leftover fabric that I purchase from time to time... I'm sure you can source some at one of your local upholstery shops???

I don't have blue strands in the black fabric, but it's superthick and matches well for my needs

    24. 04-19-2012 03:14 PM #99
Oh well, I thought you might have an inside lead to actual VW OEM stuff; when I bought my fabrics, they hadn't released any materials for my interior color scheme to the shops yet.

I don't know if VW ever does, since it seems like everyone ends up using 3rd party materials, which can be close, but always seem a little off.

      Carry on...

Could we get some better lit photos of the air tank set up and the trunk?
