DUDE!!!! LMK. There is a photo on one of the previous pages. It looks like a Rabbit duckbill spoiler but one side has a cut out and the other does not. But if that is the correct one I will almost have all the parts I need for the car.

    Just put this on today...

Those are very common and can be adapted to a Scirocco, but are slightly narrower - so they look kinda funny on there.

    HOWEVER!
The yards that the Air Force and Army run over there are off the fcking chain...

these were taken around 2004 at the ramstein and baumholder junk yards in germany....
rebuildables with no damage (service members transferring out) and that audi was flawless!

    this one was parted out...

I want to say that these were 15s, but ya...a set of cups for $50

Alpina esq or BMW wheels? ya, $50 for all 4

15in BBS wheels that came off an E30 (no idea of what model) $35/set minus tires and the smilies sitting on the shelf ran me $10

mix/match of S2 lights and turns...an incorrect high beam light on one, and missing one turn....I think I paid $40 for all of it

And this was abandoned on base, killed me to look at something like this just sitting...

I cannot stress how crazy it is in the US run yards......

It is funny how the cars get passed around over there, too. That is how I bought my first Mk1... bought it from someone who was transferring out, and later sold it to someone that was transferring in.

Nice Ray! Wish you still had it?

A friend I grew up with had one that looked exactly like that, minus the body kit. He was the only one rolling with 16" TSW Evos on a Mk1 at the time.

  9. 03-06-2012 06:36 PM #114
Nice to see you back in a Scirocco Dave, and a Mk1 at that!

A little history, from what I think was a 1998 trip to Leavenworth?

Still (well crop) taken from the Real Audio stuff that Tim did for that cruise. Back then on a 15" display it looked pretty big.

Yes and no. I am not a fan of the flexible Mk1. I loved the S1 body (more than the S2). Loved the weight. I actually miss my '85 Mk2 GTI 8v (nothing but the GTI option).

Going back to teh chin spoiler, I know that yarrowsport made a few back in 07 but I didn't look into fitment or if there were any complaints or not...they might have the mold sitting around somewhere?

Also, another thought is seeing if any of the mk1 scirocco owners would be willing to lend theirs out to make a mold and go that route.

That's what I've also been looking for. Nobody wants to give up their über rare spoiler to make a mold of. I know I wouldn't.

I know huh!? I was never a fan of these wheels until I photoshopped them together. (minus the gold bolts) I going to make my set staggered.

Pulled the broken 85mph MotoMeter clusters today and installed this uber rare 110 VDO cluster. Stripped all the ink off the gauge faces, then powder coated the faces silver metallic to match the paint and custom vinyl for the gauges. Also installed LEDs in the entire cluster (cool white gauge lights and for the indicators - blue high beam, green blinker and all the red warning lights got red LEDs too. Can't wait to install it tomorrow morning.

They look sick. It's hard to capture it with my cel phone camera, so I'll have to get out my Canon and a tripod to get a good shot.

If you are looking for a stock rocco chin spoiler, I know of one already setup as a mold, just has never been used.
