The lots not gravel, It's 2 year old asphalt. Why does everyone hate Hutches so much? There was only ever problems because people were being idiots.

1. The parking lot is new and in fantastic condition the asphalt is only a few years old (NO GRAVEL)

2. location is not the issue with the beach strip its the people and mondays are a good time because its an older crowed if we have a few idiots that show up its not because of the location its because they read this thread and decided to come (fingers crossed that doesnt happen)

3. If after we have a few meets and it still doesnt feel right and we all agree on a new location im all for it but majority must agree

Anyways next monday should be a good one

Im def down! Were gonna cruise down from tim hortons on stonechurch @ the linc in the home depot plaza. Anyone is free to join us. I will be in a black mk5 jetta with a friend in a silver mk5 jetta and possibly a few other guys.

I think that was a great turn out and some really great cars showed up hopefully we can keep this up and really have something here in hamilton.....

Easily 25 volkswagens showed up !!!

I had some good feed back from a few people and I think it will only improve

some of the feedback was biweekly meets rather then weekly meets to keep the intrest going

what I will do is update with "Dates" the meets will be held (that way there is no confusion)

im still keeping next week going for those who did not make it for the first

great to see everyone from hamilton and surrounding areas can really come out

now it be byweekly till year end dates are as follow :

September 24

And if we can squeeze October 8,22 if the weather can hold out !!!

Long week ends are mostly free from those dates witch makes it easier to show up

I didnt bring my Camera and i was going too but i was running late and missed the ball on that one but will be taking pictures from now on

i tried to take a picture with my phone but it came out pitch black we should try for a lit up parking like maybe the bottom corner or mapleview mall i don't think there's anyone that parks down there or even burlington mall has a really open lot too

I have just recieved an email from the Manager of Confederation Park

I guess they were watching us during the meet and they had no issues and have welcomed us to the park.

(I please ask everyone to respect the park and do not act footlish in any way and please police your friends and anyone who may make us get kicked out of the area. They have welcomed us and have said that they are happy with the behaviour we portrayed.)

He has also given me all his information if I need to contact him for any reason...

Which brings me to believe there maybe a possibility next year if this grows we can make an event out of this which would be great for hamilton to host a VW EVENT!!!!

If im way out in left feild let me know if not and your intrested maybe we can put a group together and discuss this further.

Post let me know what you think!!!

Sorry to say that I missed the first Monday meet, my daughter had an ear infection and had to go to the ER. I have a couple buddies that made it and say it was a fantastic turnout with no birds doing burnouts or foolishness. Cant wait till next Monday to see it for myself. Lets keep it at the beach, the park wants us there and its much better than hanging out at a mall in Burlington, its called the Hamilton VW meet!!!

the one we met up at (next to the Adventure Village lot) was not lit up. I think it wouldn't be too bad just going next to the lot by the light-house and basketball court..then again, it may be too close the the hutches kids
