      yea 450 on a dynojet.

      today:

1: We pulled the valve cover to check the cam chain and guides, everything is tight and intact, it looks awesome.

2: We dropped the oil pan to look for metal shavings, nothing, sparkling clean.

3: We pulled a rod cap off to look at the bearing and it looks pretty good.

sooo I'm very stumped as to what was making the noise. I think we are going to do a head gasket and throw it back together and see what happens.. I just cant see anything wrong internally.

      How she sits, again.* :'(

Oh and I want to give some recognition to the Full Blown guys. LJ called me this morning, without me even asking him to, and went over everything with me, I told him we were going to be working on it around noon, and again without me even needing to ask, he said he would come over and hang out with us and give us a hand with working on the car. Keep in mind this is Saturday and one of his two days off from working at the shop. Talk about awesome customer service and just a down right great guy. I would recommend anyone to this great group of guys, i trust them entirely.

A buddy of mine just sent me this.

"Aaron behing the oil filter housing (you need to remove it from the block) there is a little spring//plunger that controls oil pressure to the head, it's probably shut and not letting any oil to the head. when we blew the headgasket hard on the dyno like you did massive presure occured and jammed that plunger so when we fixed the hg it started right away but sounnded like a diesel/dry lifter but noise never went away, un jammedthat plunger problem solved. this was on a 06a block sure they all have it. not sure if that is the noise if it is i would check. or just remove valve cover crank it over with fuel pump off and see if oil make it;s way to the top if it does not then you have the problem i just told you. good luck"

      Taken from: http://motorgeek.com/viewtopic.php?f...050&start=1075

This sounds like a very nice place to start, I would be so happy if this solves the problem.

really.... do I seriously have to pull my motor, bore, new pistons, deck, deck head... AGAIN?

This car is cursed.. Since the day I purchased it, it just loves blowing things up and eating $$$$$.

Pulled the head and this is what things look like.

Head gasket looked okay except for this area here, it looks like it may of been leaking here, what do you think?

Then I checked the cylinder walls, and #4 has a blurry spot up top, I can catch my finger nail on it.. I am assuming this now needs to be bored out.

Please someone donate some hugs, I am feeling rather down.. >

Sorry to hear about your motor man , i would be braking **** with a metal bat ... anyways, was it an oem head gasket? why do you think your piston scarred your cylinder wall so bad, was it next to where the head gasket blew, maybe water got in there before the rings were seated, causing all the oil in the cross hatch to wash away? from a miss torqued head bolt? that's my theory...

I got a little bored today.. Why oil pressure gauge under hood??

Figured this would be nice if we are ever under the hood diagnosing something, instead of running circles to check gauges inside the car, we can now see the main important gauge, oil pressure, from under the hood. I think its cool, dont ruin this for me.*

i like the idea ive caught myself running around in circles checking inside for oil pressure. might as well just put your old gauge cluster under the hood

Bottom end is back in, need to wire it up, throw my head on, then the rest of the bay together. Should be driving it tomorrow. If so I will snap some photos or video if weather allows.

bored to 82.5. I would rather throw my money into my head then another .5 of displacement.

For anyone who is interested in what the Haltech ECU Manager Software looks like, I had some time to play with my layouts today and this is what I ended up with.

The gauges are dim right now because I do not have my laptop connected to the ECU in my car, when connected they light up. This is also a demo map from an Evo and not my actual fuel base map.
