you would think that the super duct would have helped mercedes but has done zero. i hope that it really gives lotus that extra bit as they tested it during the last two races during practice. they are patient and taking their time.

super ducts ruled out for 2013 . always when something interesting comes along. gone it is. they should bring back fueling, tyre wars and full on do what you want aero.

Seriously. With all the talk about how their car was well suited for Spa, it certainly didn't seem like it. At this point if Lotus doesn't win a race this season it will be a failure IMO.

In all fairness, they didn't have time to calibrate the system due to the weather problems. They will not use it in Monza either, due to the low downforce set-up already.
I am starting to think that Lotus is just not gonna be a real contender with all these near-misses.
Too bad, but still an awesome comeback for Kimi. He's now been on the podium as much as Alonso this season. Quite the accomplishment.

True it has been a much better season for them so far. However, they keep talking up the fact that their car should do well or is well suited for "x" track and not deliver anything more than what is now expected of them. It's understandable that they may have been talking up the car at Spa only with the super DRS, but it has been several races where they've talked a big game and came up short.

Lotus needs to get their act together. Kimi has had a great season, and if he can't wrangle a win out of the car then it will be a huge disappointment.

I was partially joking but in seriousness because Lewis and Fernando aren't done winning races this season and I think as the season goes on we will see less other non championship guys winning...so to beat them he will have to win too.

I think it was Keke Rosberg who won with only one race win, I don't think anyone has won a WDC with no wins correct me if i am wrong...

I think you're right, but Kimi is going to need to finish each remaining race in the top 3 and hope that both Hammie and Alonso have a few DNFs to win this thing. Not to mention Vettel in the mix when and if his car can hold up.

He was in second when the leader had a failure and Rosberg cruised to victory. However, he would still have been champion without that victory. So, it is possible.

When Alonso passed me after the pit stop, i glanced at the pit board. According to my calculations, i was supposed to be one position further up. When i asked who was missing, they told me Raikkonen was in P1. I didn't even see him during the whole race!
