I love this car! Any interest in a 1966 triumph tr6 650? Just throwing it out there. If not, glws, somebody's getting a sweet car!

I am currently looking at a mk4 R32 in the OH/IN region at a dealer, but I am pretty sure they will not ba able to do anything logical for my trade ('11 Mini Cooper JCW). With that said, I am looking for a reliable VW with cash in hand. What would need to be done for your car to pass emissions...simple reset? I commute roughly 30K a year, so it needs to be pretty bulletproof (for a VW anyways). It looks as though you spent the right time on the right parts & details--what does it truly need?
I am currently in the Akron, OH area...could possibly fly out/drive back.
Thanks for the info,
Jeff

we don't have emissions here and the wasn't subject to it in it's previous state. The secondary air injection stuff has all been removed... So I don't know if it would passOriginally Posted by MiNiDUB12;

Still interested. I need something SOLID as a daily driver that will be willing to do an easy 20K a year. I realize that no mk2 is perfect, but it needs to be pretty dead on reliable. I don't want a trailer queen, but nor do I want a beige 8v jetta. Also, the flight out to NE has got to be worth the trip with the mindset that I will be back on my way home in a 4 door 85 golf.
Besides the cruise control, what do you legitimately think she will need?
