Whats up fellas. Got 3 questions. Just picked up some Enkei mesh wheels on ebay for a damn good price. Wheels look good. Pretty happy with them. Will post pics as soon as they get here since for some reason I cant save the pics off ebay

    but here to the questions:

    - wheels are 5x112 so ima gonna need to track down some adapters. Anyone know a place around here that sells them. Found some on ebay.de and obviously adaptec is a choice as well.

-Anyone know where to get older model Enkei center caps from?

-Shop that will stretch tires? Plan on running 165/45's...

    Thanks!!!

You should be able to get adapters just about anywhere. Probably aren't gonna be cheap though. If you find some in the states and need to use an APO let me know.

About stretching tires, we know an Italian dude down here that owns a shop that will do it.

Good luck on the Enkei center caps, probably gonna have to be an ebay find as well. I will put word out about the Borbets. Upload pics of them to the for sale thread on here.

Thanks Jon. I've found a few places selling adapters but not the pattern I need. Found some on eBay.de but the smalles size they carry is 30mm and with an et of 11 Im not sure if that would create more poke then I want. I have an apo address but thanks for the offer.

Now that I got these wheels I think I may just hold on to the type a's unless something pops up that I'd be interested in.

Ima check eBay for the center caps. Looked briefly last night and they had a bunch but not the ones I was looking for.

I am sure they almost have to be that thick to account for the bolts going into them....So the et on the wheels you have is 41?

Which wheels did you get again? Enkei what? If you know, if not no biggie. I have gotten pretty good at using the google machine!!

Why does it seem I am on here a lot more than other people! This is starting to tell me I either have a problem or need to get a life! If any of you think either one of those about me, go jump off a cliff! I enjoy the problem filled life of VW's I have!!

S2k thanks dude. I'll check them out

Hmm... you sure they're Enkei? If they're off an old Benz and they look like that, it would make more sense for them to be Riken, Ronal, or BBS; they could even possibly be Rial, though their mesh wheels were more common in 13 and 14" for Opels.

Unless they're Epsilons. In that case, I'm more jealous than you could ever imagine.

If you post the ebay item/auction number, we should be able to see them.

Dude, the poke you are going to have is going to be crazy! With an 11et wheel, then a damn 30mm spacer....holy crap!! So from the way I understand it, now you do 11-30= -21....that will be your new et!! Unless I am doing it completely wrong.....damn that is some poke!!!

How wide are they? -19 would be manageable with a 6" wheel, maybe even with a 7". You could also have the wheel mounting face machined down.

They are 15x7. I mean I'm sure there is a way to pull them off right with the right tire choice and stance but we will see. I wonder if adapted could make smaller adapters? Prolly cost a good grip tho

Maybe smaller adapters, maybe you can have the wheel mounting faces machined down a bit. Look up user mileycyrus, he's running 15x8 et 0 on a mk1. The amount of poke should be about the same, maybe 6 or 7mm for you. It'll should give you an idea of what it will look like.

well if the wheels poke anything like the ones on Miley's cabby, i wont like them at all. That is entirely too much poke for me.

Shoulda researched this before getting the wheels haha. Oh well. THankfully I didnt pay much for them.

I have a buddy who is a Bimmer fanatic and uses http://www.concept-wheels.be/ in Belgium. He has had multiple sets of wheels filled and drilled by these guys, top notch work.

There is also a place in Prüm that refinishes wheels as well. When I last looked into having my cups polished, it was going to be about 70 Euro each. They do polishing, powedercoat and straightening. If you want the info for them, let me know.

Here is the website: http://www.feltec.eu/ The address and phone number are on there, just click Kontakt on the left menu, as it is all in German. Last I was there, it was a two person shop and the owner speaks English, but it has been a while. I have seen a few sets come out of this place and they have all been awesome looking.
