If you have the v-tune option with your apr flash you can up the boost with a laptop and a vag com cable. Not sure if your ecu supports this or not but it definitely makes a difference.

IM running a unitronic stage 2, and my mods are , 2.5 TT turbo back, Hatachi bolt on coils, .028 gap, 007 forge dv, evotution intake to turbo hose, and evolution CIA, and soon to switch to a thicker Side mount. And I run totally fine. stock injectors, 3 bar, and brand new Ko3s, works fine. Boosts to 20, holds @ 18 with no diving. deffently get the unitronic. Being in a stock 03 GTI is like doing time in a 2.0

I ran apr on my new beetle and a 4 bar fpr is not required .I even asked them and they said no ,that the 3 bar works fine with the software. I now have giac software and also running stock 3 bar. Both apr and giac told me if you go to a ko4 or bt ,then you need to run 4 bar

I actually did another dyno two months ago and made 216 whp. I think the numbers are better now. I replaced some vaccum, lines changed the spark plug gap to .028 and installed polyurethane dogbone inserts.
