RNS-510 coding help

Hi all,

Purchased a RNS-510 and I'm looking for some help getting it coded. I've read through all the DIY's and still cannot get it recognized to be coded. Car is a 2012 Canadian spec'd Golf Wagon that came with the RCD-510 originally. So far I've swapped the CECM for a highline version and added bi-xenon GTI lights.

So far I've lowered the rear headliner and disconnected the compass, installed a wiring harness to allow the use of voice commands with the RNS-510 like in this post: http://forums.vwvortex.com/showthrea...mmands-to-work and hooked everything back up. The unit works fine but I cannot change any coding on it.

When I open the nav or radio module there is a window popping up saying that it cannot communicate with ECU. Any help is greatly appreciated

Can someone walk me through how to save the redirect files in C:\Ross-Tech\VCDS\Labels\User\ like listed in the thread above? When I open the links it's just text in a new window, no files...think I'm missing something simple here...

Just save as both files and copy and overwrite them in VCDS/Labels directory of your Ross Tech install folder.
