My 1988 Mica Red Gti 2.0 16v BUILD..

I picked this car up at the end of November and it was a complete shell there was nothing to it. it was missing pretty much everything. interior harness was gone, fuel tank, fuel lines, brake, and brake lines.

it is a pretty clean shell other then the key marks on the side. and the rusted driver side floor.

so here are the plans:

interior: convert it from ce1 to ce2.. mk2 dash, recaro door cards, corrado front and rear cloth seats, corrado steering wheel.

Engine bay/motor i am in the process of shaving the bay(nothing to crazy).. with a slight wire tuck.
EDITi picked up a vr6 about a 2 days ago with around 130k on it. which i the deleted power steering pump, and ac compressor. i am polishing the intake manifold at the moment.

exterior small bumpers front and back with 16v lip. big trim, 8v fender flares, Ronal r8 wheels 4x100 and then eventually a respray at some point because roof is faded and key marks on driver side.

Probably the best solution is to cut off whole area which is seen in picture and replace it with a new sheet of steel, or get a donor part.

Yea I'm keeping it the same color.. And im pretty sure I can save the floor I'm gonna grind it down and see where it's at and then por15 it if it's ok.

Finish welding up the engine bay. (not much to fill) lay some bondo, paint it, drop motor in, wire up interior and motor, brakes, and gas tank, and fuel lines. hoping to have it done by the end of march half way threw april. but we will see
