I've had my 2006 Golf MKIV since July 2009, put 30K on it in that time, and this is the 2nd time my front lower control arm bushings have been shredded to hell and require replacement.
I have a really good warranty that replaces them at no cost to me - except that I have to take it to the shop and not have my car for a day or two - which is a real PITA.
What is the "normal" life expectancy for control arm bushings? Is it dependent on driving behavior/environment/bad roads etc? or?
And any suggestions for more durable replacements?
Any thoughts appreciated, guys
