I just scrambled to check my AL only league and realized that I had him starting, through no fault of my own

I had a live draft this weekend and completely bungled it. I have 7 of the top 20 pitchers, 2 of the top 4 SSs (tulo and castro), only 1 closer (nathan, ugg), only 2 OFs, and drafted Ortiz as my 1b only to find out he's not 1b eligible in CBS leagues I followed the RotoWire iPad app almost pick for pick, and somehow drafted Derek Holland and Michael Cuddyer, both in the 6th round

Trying to trade Tulo + a starter for an OF + closer now.

Man, I really wish the DL guys would get DL'ed already. I cany add anyone, and I guarantee the guys Im lookin at will be gone by the time the season starts.

I won't even need that start... trust me. I mean, my pitching staff is like an All-Star squad. I'll throw away a McCarthy gem during the first week because I know I'll get about 15 more from him this season.

Pofe... you may want to lower the innings limit for this week. I did it in the my cash league because its really only 4 days of full play... it may be tough for people to hit that #. You can change it for this week and then change it back through commish tools.

This league has always had one... I know because I copied my cash league after this league, and people always complain... lol

I know....it makes dealing with multiple injuries very tough if you intend to keep anyone.

I think Yahoo added that as default this year. I don't change many settings, just innings pitched. That rule makes sense though so people don't stream 20 pitchers in one week during the playoffs to lock up wins and strikeouts.

Yeah, we've always had 1. It sucks when a few guys go down, but that's why there are bench spots It also keeps the free agent pool from being depleted.

It wasn't added as a default setting because it isn't there in the league that I commish. But I encourage people to try and drop pitchers in an effort to stock pile wins. Sometimes someone can scoop up some good pitchers that way.

Ya, i never understood the aversion to other people doing this.

You stockpile wins and Ks (maybe), but at the risk of WHIP and ERA. And then give others the oppty to grab the pitchers you're dropping left and right.

When we played fantasy baseball in high school I had a friend who tried doing this and it backfired on him. It was awesome.
