Weekly meet ups in Schaumburg!

We just came for a quick look. The plan was only to stay for about 10 minutes or so while we waited for another one of our buddies who got "confused" by his gps and we ended up waiting a lot longer than expected.


but like i said while we walked around checking out the cars people did say hi and stuff so there wasn't any feelings of not being welcomed or anything.

definitely if my schedule permits i will be goin' again.

Should be the same location. The reserved space, parking lot, distance to the expressway, and friendly cops were definitely a huge plus.

Any weekend meets coming up? I live in Chicago so it is pretty much impossible for me to make it out to Tuesday night meet ups.

Used to roll to the meets in Schaumburg all the time a few years back with my Wolfsburg, would love to make it to some in the near future!

CVO meets are Friday nights I think.. Meet at Portillos in Schaumburg near Woodfield? And then they have the monthly cruises on the last Friday of the month starting in April.. meet at Hooters Schaumburg and then cruise over to a different food place

Hey awesome my car made it into both of those pictures!

bunch of nice cars! personally i wasn't really a fan of the small group of cars close that were close to the McDonalds size of the parking lot. i didn't really appreciate the camaro driving around screeching tires and the lifted diesel truck's "spirited" driving. That's the kind of stuff that ruins nice little gtg like this one.

Though i did enjoy when the cops pulled over that truck both my sis and i thought that was hilarious!

Agreed. They also started smoking weed. Perfectly fine with me, but keep it away from meets. **** like that ruins it for everyone.

I took time out of my day to set all of this up, and I'll be damned if some burnout ricer ruins it for all of us who are actually being respectful of Buona's property.

If anyone invited those douschbags, please do not invite them again. I am on good terms with the manager, please don't ruin it for future meets.

Yeah, the ricers were pretty ****ty. I left when people started having an engine revving contest. It was hilarious when the idiot in the truck got pulled over though

i don't care about weed but like everything there is a time and place. Smoking up there is such a bad idea especially seeing how the police were routinely driving through, not exactly a smart place to light up, not to mention there were a small handful of lil kids there too.

I personally enjoy seeing nicely done cars, Japanese included, but the sad thing it is seems that they are truly few and far between and they seem to attract dumb@sses

hopefully if more come they will be with people with a more common sense. i don't want to see this meet disappear based on the actions of a select few. it's nice to have a meet that's only 30 minutes away from me.

That's awesome to hear, we love seeing the VWs that aren't usually as represented at the meets! We first started off with a dozen or so golfmk6 guys, then the meets grew and grew. Thank Chris (Das Butcher) for taking the initiative these last few weeks and scouting/picking locations and helping to spread the word farther!

It's natural to feel a little awkward if you roll in not knowing anyone, but take a few minutes to walk around to the different groups of people and introduce yourself!

I'm definately down for a meet & cruise too. If it's after 8pm or 9pm we could easily make it downtown via 90... just a thought. A weekend cruise would be cool too, but I have too many home projects to commit to one right now. So, weekdays work great!!!

I can't wait to see the newer VW's. The last time I was at a meet (used to hit up Chipotle off Algonquin Rd. in RM) the newest VW's were MkV's, so this should be sweeet!
