We recently sold our first home, a small 1100sq/ft storey and a half with an attached 26x30 garage and bought a late 70's 2400sq/ft bungalow on 2.5 acres of land with a detached 30 x 40 shop (with a 4ft deep pit) and an attached 14 x 22 with a 12 x 14 workshop behind it. I had to install drywall, some 240v outlets and of course i upgraded the lighting (seeing as that's what i sell for a living!). A split heat pump is on order and i still have some settling in to do, but its pretty much my dream home/garage.

The old garage was getting a little cramped:

I love it! I love it even more because of the Unibroue and Dogfish Head signs. Congrats on the purchase.

I'd have to clear it with the wife....but are you considering adoption of a 30-something son anytime soon?

How do you like the snow blower attachment on the John Deere? I am debating whether to buy that attachment or a cheap plow truck.

that's just the website photo from the realtors site months back, i've since trimmed the trees, changed the lighting and done a whole bunch of cleaning up and upgrading to the house, looks alot nicer.

It's a big ranch style house, 2500sq/ft on the main floor with 1800sq/ft of finished basement + a 1 car attached garage. 4 bedroom, 2.5 bathroom, dining room, sunroom, large eat in kitchen with seperate eating area, large den.

take a look at this pic, you can see its a deep house- you also see why i got a tractor with a blower/cab

well, a plow truck would be cheaper, i've got about 20k tied into it and i dropped 4k as a downpayment. (0% 60 month financing though). I love it because i've got a loader and mower deck to go along with it and a heated cab.

Cleaning the garage. Looking at the garage. Fixing things in the garage. Keeping the oil circulating through machinery in the garage.
