    sold 1200

I am looking to sell my 1987 Scirocco 16v.

Black leather with striped cloth interior
    Headliner in excellent condition
    Non AC car
Sunroof car (in good working order)
    5 speed 16v

The car runs really well. I drive it 5 days a week to commute in, and it has never failed me. Replaced the starter knowing it was dying, so it didn't even die on me then. The motor really runs great.

My car is not a show piece by any means, but it is a nice solid little car in great running order. It is tornado red (faded in some spots pretty bad) with black leather and cloth interior.

Its got 161k miles on her right now. I have owned it since 139k, about 18 months now. The car has never failed me, I drive it to work and back 5 days a week which is a 26 miles commute. (even with clutch issue, just drive like a grandma and it puts along perfectly fine)

    All the glass is 100%.
The body is straight minus the hood and a shopping car doink on the passenger side.
Interior is 100% complete minus the driver side underdash tray. There might be a few scruffs or cracks on a few items in the interior, but overall its in great shape (dash cracked in 7 places though...lol)

I replaced some parts and put on a few aftermarket things while I owned her.

    New clutch at 140k
Used ashtray, new shift knob, used rear view installed at 146k
    New Starter at 152k
Used Neuspeed sport springs at 154k
Used bilsteins in the rear, Boge in the front at 154k
Used Neuspeed front strut tower bar at 154k
New Rear strut tower bar at 154k
    New Wheel bearings at 154k
New Corrado Master Cylinder at 150k
    New Fuel Accumulator at 157k
    Rear Euro Bumper
Rear Euro Taillights directly from Germany

Comes with stock reaar bumper and front euro SKIN, no frame though.

There are a few things wrong with the car.

-The clutch recently started slipping at high RPM under full throttle, which leads me to believe that the rear main leaked a bit onto the clutch and it is now contaminated. The clutch has under 20k on it, just needs to be pulled out and cleaned.
-There is a dent on the hood from the previous owner dropping a tv on it... (i dont know...lol)
-The steering wheel is a MOMO, but it is faded and peeling pretty bad
-The heater does not blow (heater core works great, but the heater motor is dead)
-There is a few minor oil leaks. I put about 1/4 of a quart in every 2 months.

It is by no means a show stopper, but it is a really solid little car, it runs great, and has never let me down.

I would like to get 1200 for the car. As a parts car its worth at least that much, but it's in 100% driveable condition right now as it is.

I will get interior pictures and more up here as soon as I can, been a busy month for me!

    Thanks!

no, in all honesty, I just don't really want to fix the gas tank. it only seems to leak when I fill the tank all the way up and take some corners at a good speed. normal driving and a 1/2 tank or less and it doesn't leak anymore. a big problem was the fuel accumulator, which i replaced not too long ago, it was leaking as well.

i need to get some pictures with the euro bumper and taillights today while its sunny!

Sounds good. I'll be interested to see it when you get interior and euro bumper pictures up.
Have you checked it's engine compression?

i did check the compression recently actually. my roommate is a mechanic and he recently bought a new compression gauge so we put it on the rocco for jollies and every cylinder read fine.

the high reading was 175, the low reading was 155 after 4 cranks, so thats a pretty good range for 161k miles! heh...

im cleaning up the car tonight and taking some pictures tomorrow, ill have pics up very soon!

Here are some interior pictures and a couple pictures of the Euro Tail Lights and the rear Euro Bumper. I do have the trim insert piece for the rear bumper, just haven't put her in yet.
