Ok guys, I'm trying to remove the split bushing in the rear uprights of my B5 S4. 2 per side, flanged steel sleeved rubber bushing pressed into the wheel bearing housing in the rear of the car. More or less where the lower ball joint would be on any other car.

Bentley recommends VAG tool 3292/1 but I have no idea where to find this tool. Anyone have any tricks or tips to get these bushings out? I'm thinking either hammer and chisel to get the flange peeled back on one side and then press both halves thru. We tried pulling on the center sections, but all we got was a ton of stretch out of the rubber, but no movement.
