Ok I just threw my first CEL code ever on my JB 20th. She is just shy of 75k mileage wise, her modes are full 42dd 3inch street exhaust along with neuspeed Pflow intake.
Just read the CEL and its only throwing P0172

    P0172 - System Too Rich, Bank 1

    Possible Symptoms
    Irregular behaviour

    Possible Causes
    Fuel system
    Excessive fuel pressure
    Leaking or contaminated fuel injectors
    Leaking fuel pressure regulator
Low fuel pressure or running out of fuel
    Vapor recovery system
    Air leaks after the MAF
    Vacuum leaks
    Improper seated engine oil dipstick
    Stuck EGR valve
    Oil overfill
    Cam timing
    Cylinder compression
Exhaust leaks before or near HO2Ss.

Any of you guys have some insight on how I should tackle this little prob.

I have been using the search button and I am reading that it could be MAF related........ any other thoughts would be great

you can check your maf and see if its clean but if the fuel is running too rich my opinion its would be the oxygen sensor dont remember which one it would be though, one is pre cat and the other post cat which is on the exhaust.. when one goes out fuel runs rich, the other it would be too lean

I will check the MAF first thing this weekend and see whats up. As for both o2 sensors they are both brand new as of this summer, I couldnt imagine they be shot already.
Anyone else want to chime in on this one.

I got the same code a couple years back. My car would go into limp mode under heavy acceleration. P0172 is the only code it came back with. I had a bad MAF. Having said that, its a very diverse code that could mean lots of things. Did you get the code read at Autzone, Oreillys, etc?

check your connections on your 02 sensors. i replaced my front one on the same code a while back, and a week later the same problem came back. put my car back on the lift and found that it had came loose where it plugs in. good luck!

FYI i also had to replace the MAF not to long ago and when i put the new one on, the plug on top was standing almost straight up, made the problem worse after alota head scratching i rolld the MAF back on anout a 45 degree angle like it was before, fixed it! those things are aparentley super sensative!

Its most likely your MAF, I have a 337 and just had this same exact problem, the car would throw itself into limp mode and only allow 5psi. I did some search on here and checked my MAF and cleaned it. be careful because if you dont clean it the right way you can damage the sensor and have to buy a new one. After i did that no CEL no more and car was good again.
