    Hey guys,

I was just wonder what would be involved in taking apart the alternator in order to powder coat it or polish it. I plan on doing pretty much else in my engine bay this spring and I don't want to have all these new looking parts then have an old looking oxidized alternator.

    Thanks!

Picked one up from a junkyard recently to see how hard they are to take apart for the same reason. This will not work out well for you. Trust me.

ill tell you what you do.
go to the beach and fill a bag with sand (this will be used later on in our demonstration)
hit autozone or your local hardware store for some pimpin paint
fill your tank (your car may be running for some time)
    start your car
open the bag of sand and throw it furiously until its all gone
now paint but make it look like you know what your doing
let your c ar run until its all dry
    see not that harddd
