Not that this is RACECAR, but how much extra weight does all that deadening material add?

Vouch, that stuff is worth it's weight in gold. Two years and my painted dash and panels still haven't chipped.

The RAAmat is really light. I had never used it before, but read good reviews. It is almost a foam material. I haven't had it on the road yet to tell you how well it works, but for all that I used I bet it only weighs 5 lb or so. The dynamat is a little heavier. Maybe 12 lb.

Good to know! I was skeptical about trying it at first, but others have said similar things about it. Hopefully it holds up

So not too happy with the shop who is doing my headliner.... Apparently they can't get the proper red suede.. they have ordered two kinds and neither will work, so it looks like the rear shelf and headliner will be done in black suede. Should have it by next week.

Wow, this car looks great. Nice turn-around on the wheels. Silver > black always.

Thanks! I'm really happy with the way the wheels turned out. Next step is finding a material to wrap the ABC pillars in, but first I need to decide if I'm keeping the sport plaids or doing something different. I really want MKII recaro trophy seats if I can find a set.

So I think I've decided to keep the sport plaids. I found a set of abc pillars local for a good price. I'm going to find suede that matches one of the colors of the lines in the plaid on the seats. Which color do you guys think I should pick?

I like where this is going.
I'd have said blue if the headliner was red just so you had the red, blue and black going on but I'm not sure now..

Thanks! I think the light blue would look nice. A lot of people seem to have red pillars.
